So anyways, away from the discussion of the light, IF you do in fact have an 800 watt, for a closet that will be more than enough, if your closet is plain white, not an off white, but true white, it will be fine, if not, you will have to use reflectors.

....if you want a fire hazard...

lmao, true true, grabbing some refrigerator insulation or something along those lines and wrappint it up to where all exposed areas other than the area that light comes from would be advised... and screw the reflectors... the slightest chink in the reflectors could EASILY cause a flash fire... in your closet..

you will need to exhaust the heat so whatever size light you buy make sure it is air-cooled (with a glass cover). you'll also need a separate exhaust fan for the room itself.

if you have both a properly rated exhaust fan and a fan that is cooling your light, you can put a 1000w of light in a closet (i know this from experience) and be OK - definitely will need to keep a close eye on temps though! If you can't vent the closet or the lights then HIDs may not work for you.

flat white paint is great for a reflective surface as well as mylar and panda plastic - avoid aluminum (tin) foil and mirrors. and if you want to keep your grow stealthy, you should have some kind of odor control plan in place before they get stinky.
