New Grower, please help diagnose

It looks like you're only giving one half of the main nutes. Maybe this is the problem, if it looks like the problem continues. Those nutes have calcium, magnesium in them.

Last night I flushed and bumped up the nutes to 2ml to slowly ramp them back up. Now this morning the new leaves are a bit droopier than before.

Ph is a solid 6, but the temp is crept up to around 84 last night. Since this is an aeroponic system and the roots looks fine, is it the heat or am I still having issues with nutes?

Temps that high in the chamber, will affect oxygen for sure.
Low oxygen, it'll droop.

Was it better before you bumped it up to 2mL?
Was it only after bumping it up, that it drooped?

Not sure.. I bumped it and then went to bed, When I checked it this morning it was droopy. So I vented the space and got the temps to 75F. I also picked up a small fan to help out. It is looking a lot better now, and has actually grown quite a bit during the day.

What's your npk too?
FloraGrow: 2-1-6
FloraMicro: 5-0-1
FloraBloom: 0-5-4
CaliMagic: 1-0-0

Water temp is at 75F

OK good news. As long as its improving.
Your base nutrients is a 7.6.11. That's a pretty decent npk for veg. I wouldn't go too strong either. I definitely don't think you need the calmag. That would bump it to 8.6.11, plus extra calcium, magnesium and iron.
If you're seeing improvement don't change anything.

You're gonna have to sort those temperature fluctuations. Fluctuations like that, especially aeroponics, is a quick recipe for disaster.
Use an aquarium chiller, or do whatever you need to do, to keep the temps in range.

Great news it's improving mate.
Anything else just post it.
Glad to help :peace:

Check out megacrop @GreenleafNutrients . It's an all-in-one powder nutrient that you use through the entire life cycle. It has all your necessary base elements as well as all the micros you need. It has kelp and silica etc. I sound like a frign infomercial but the stuff is the real deal. Ive used the more expensive crap (AN) to the not so expensive (GH/Jacks) and lots in between and the growth I've been getting from MC has been the best/easiest yet. If you used a product like MC then you generally wont run into problems like your seeing now. There are a lot of people showing great grows using the stuff. Good luck!

Edit: thought id mention they have a free sample offer right now so you can try it out with minimal investment.

Yeah, It's been tricky controlling the temp. This is the only room I have that I can grow in, and it has a tendency to get warm. Thankfully, it's also my home office, so I am usually around to notice the temp.

Thanks much for the advice. I'll post back in a few days to show how it's progressing.

Thanks, I'll look into that!

No problem mate.
I'll await your update.:peace:

The spotting you had earlier is a nutrient problem. You're probably needing to use 700 ppm. Many people use between 500 and 1000 ppm.

My girl is growing like crazy, but I'm still seeing some spotting on the older leaves and weird curling distorson of the new leaves. My ppms are around 500, but I also found out my PH Pen was out of whack and giving me readings 0.5 lower than normal.

right now i'm at 2.5 micro, 2.5 bloom, 2.5 gro, should I up to 5? I've seen some grow journals go aggressive on nutes (3-5ml) and they get huge growth. keep in mind i'm on an aero system which generally I've seen advised as half nutes for feeding

It's ok.
Growing like crazy is perfect!
I'm a little old school. If there's a problem, I always try less, before more. More food, is such an easy thing to rectify.

Fantastic news mate.

Here is what she looks like now. (@ day 21) Not the most pretty thing, but the speed at which it's growing is amazing. You can still see spotting on the leaves as they get older, and the lower leaves are really warped.

Should I prune the two leaves that look like they are more than 50% damaged?

edit: I should also mention I pruned off the 2 pairs of leaves from previous photos that ended up getting to be about 75% damaged (in case anyone was trying to reference the old pics..)

Bigger for sure aye.
The damage, doesn't look nearly as bad too.
Good news dude.
If it were me..........
I'd try a little less ppms, next reservoir change. See how it goes. Then if it starts to get worse, just bump up the ppms.

As I've stated, I havnt done aeroponics before. But I would expect the roots sitting, in the air, and getting misted, to have a higher ppm concentration, on the root surface, than your reservoir.
Maybe if your ph is staying below six, too. Try just a smidgen over 6. Calmag, will be more available.
It's healthy, for you ph to swing in hydro.
I'll flick you this chart. It's been so useful for me over the years. It doesn't matter the type of plant, or medium. All this chart illustrates is how available each nutrient is, at any given ph.
It's the handiest thing for diagnosing, whether you have lockout, or deficiency.

In my opinion, it tells a lot more than a picture, of symptoms in a book. The books were always so confusing to me. Because every toxicity, or deficiency looks the damn same as the last lol.
Not knocking the work, but you can see what I mean here -

Spot the difference
They all look the same.
Confusing as shit.

I'm really glad your plant is better mate.
Take it easy :peace:

Thanks! I really appreciate it. From what I've been learning of aeroponics is that you need to use a diluted nutes for the same reason you stated about the roots exposure. I think the Ph may have played a big role here, and that chart you posted is better than any I've seen online. So thanks for that too.

The deficiency/toxicity shit all looks the same to me too.

I'm afraid that idea about aeroponics isn't right. aero is even faster than dwc because of the greater oxygen exposure roots get. aero is actually a dangerous method unless you really know what you're doing. it's best to avoid it, in my opinion.
