I've been vegging under straight 3000k for a couple of years, and I find it works wonderfully well. The only space in which I use a different color temp is the nursery for seedlings and clones, where I have the babies under a 6500k CFL. (I do have one 3500k space, but it's rarely used - and I haven't really seen any notable difference from the 3000k in the veg performance.)

Ye I’m planning on insulting a box where my grow tent will sit in the middle to try keep it at better Temps and yes 150 height.

You can do the same thing with the HLG v1 288 boards, they are $29 dollars a piece now by the way

Anything HLG is pretty much held as the standard for LED panels right now. Cant go wrong with any of their stuff.
I saw you were on aliexpress. If you want to order from china, get on alibaba and go Shenzhen Meijiu Lighting or Shenzhen Kingbrite Electronics

Lot of people overlook them because theyre 561s and arent the newest best thing.
I still love my 561s. It would have cost me nearly an extra 1k to do what I wanted in 301s at the time.

I still love mine too. I don't think the difference between v1 and 2 on paper translates so much to the grow room.

Just brow

just browsing to try find the best fit , thsi one was just abit to much I want to spend £200 on lights max if that’s possible.
Yeah fair play man, don't blame you for weighing up all your options, just a bargain considering from the US its $369 which translates to at least £369 after tax and shipping. Plus 3 year warranty and easily returned.

There's a lot of sellers on ali, stick to the recommended ones if you go that route and make sure you ask what its going to cost to ship and add 20% for import duties.
Still cheaper from china all in, but warranty isn't as simple as it sounds.
Plenty of examples of both clone QBs and genuine QBs grows on here.

Oh I double checked the stats on theose QB120 v2s from hlg vs the QB v1s ($29) from HLG and the QB120 v2 win by a tiny bit, slightly more efficient.

If you look at the new meanwell xlg drivers locally they are cheaper and smaller.

Think I’m gonna go for the qb120 v2 boards for $132 instead of 4 qb 120 v1 boards it would cost me $116

yeah HLG are a great company. great customer service and will sort out any problems. i have lights of theirs that i've run for years without issues.

i wouldnt expect much customer service from china after purchase if theres a problem

or diyleduk is uk based and does all sorts.

i need a load more lighting soon and im probs gonna go with lots of china boards and no heatsinks...

DIY strips are also really good.

there are lotsa good options. youre in the right place
