New HLG light - High CRI fixture - HLG 50

Anyone have any experience with this light yet? I've been debating on adding this to my 4x4 veg tent. I'm using a 260 watt Bspec kit from HLG currently.

For sure, I could be way off base, but when you scroll over the strip and it zooms in a bit, it looks like there are some red diodes in it as well. Cool strips either way it seems.

The interesting thing is that it uses violet instead of blue as the motor ... of the triphosphor ... hence it is more expensive I imagine ...
apart from that 420 nn is a curious band for culture ... apart from the typical 450 nm

Seoul Semiconductor’s SunLike Series LEDs are the world’s first natural spectrum LEDs, as they produce light that closely matches the spectrum of natural sunlight.

This achievement comes from using a new LED architecture, with a purple emitter in combination with a red, green, and blue (RGB) phosphor mix, unlike conventional white LED that use a blue emitter and yellow phosphor.

By removing the blue LED light source and replacing it with a purple light LED chip, lighting technology is fundamentally transformed.

For the first time it is possible to render colors accurately with very low energy use and positive effects on health.

Compared with other LED lights, the new SunLike Series do not have a blue energy peak associated with eye discomfort and poor sleep patterns.

Furthermore, an ordinary LED spectrum is very different to sunlight, whereas SunLike’s spectrum is very similar.

Thus, the light sources with SunLike Series LEDs will more accurately show the color of objects, as they would appear in natural sunlight.

It's natural light spectra has color rendering of CRI-97 – close to CRI-100 of sunlight, and much higher than the CRI-80 of conventional LEDs.

The SunLike packaged LED technology from Seoul is based in part on a Toshiba phosphor technology called TRI-R.

By using the TRI-R, the LEDs deliver a uniform and broad spectral power distribution (SPD) that is more like sunlight than are typical phosphor-converted white LEDs.

The applications of this new LED technology, with its diminished blue light peak, similar spectral curve to sunlight, accurate rendering of colors and reduced scattered reflection and glare are many, from Human Centric lighting for our home and office to commercial and art lighting.

mmmm...esta mezcla parece que da datos de usar una tool... pero si son datos reales....tengo que revisar mis apuntes...algo no me cuadra...ya la verificare con info cruzada....cuando tenga ganas...hoy no...

lo interesante es que usa violeta en vez de azul como motor....del trifosforo...de ahi que sea mas caro me imagino...

Love how in depth you go when posting about products, I always enjoy reading through your posts. I'm probably partial to the seoul diodes since that is what GLA used on their original highlights boards that I purchased, but that lower blue region getting filled in seems like a nice addition compared to the others. I know I saw cutter posting about some new high cri cree (fidelity i think) diodes he is using as well. Can't wait to see some grow's being done under some of these "newer" high cri options though, as a lot of my purchases I have made were things with 90+ cri's.

Keep up the good work though sir and look forward to reading through your research and links down the road..:)

Seoul Sunlike...Nichia Optisolis...Bridgelux Vesta Thive... curious mix...on vegetative and maybe preflower.....
Why would this be good for veg or preflower?

en floracion los rojos dominan...a estos spd les faltan rojos para floracion....
Yes, but I guess I am doubtful about any SPD configuration with a lot of blue at this point. Actually, I don't even know if it is blue that concerns me. I have lights with higher blue and it is killing my plants. So, until it is understood what spectrum combination works I can't afford to test them myself.

I use an HLG 60 the red and far red version of this light, I like it . I brings out more frost & weight when using with HID lights. I am using it for the first time with quantum boards this grow.
