Damn I should of looked at my old cards before bitching about it. One of my patients mentioned it today.
Still fucked up though as it does provide some legal protection.

the statement should read exactly the opposite...especially considering the differences between our mj laws and AMMA.

anyone who grows cannabis does so in violation of federal law, about time people realized this..

a mmj card is not a get out of jail free card so long as cannabis is a schedule one drug..

The statements on the card imply it does not provide protection from local and state laws.
This is not true....

36-2811. Presumption of medical use of marijuana; protections; civil penalty

(Caution: 1998 Prop. 105 applies)

A. There is a presumption that a qualifying patient or designated caregiver is engaged in the medical use of marijuana pursuant to this chapter.
1. The presumption exists if the qualifying patient or designated caregiver:

(a) Is in possession of a registry identification card. ****(This a form of legal protection)**** medical use of marijuana is legal in AZ and protected from arrest and penalty

it's true if you think of it this way - being a "registered qualifying cardholder" according to the amma provides legal protection. Just having the card in your possession does not make you a "registered qualifying cardholder" it only makes you a cardholder. So if your qualification was revoked or something then the card itself doesn't provide any legal protection. I think that's all they mean

it's just more Bill Montgomery bullshit. He does his best to scare anyone he can away from the AMMA. The card absolutely provides legal protection. Try talking your way out of a possession charge in court without one.
