How do these plants look to you guys? Temps at 81F and get down to 70F during lights out. Temps in Cali are 100+ every day. Humidity in the tent says 38 but I know it’s more than that lower down. Soil is FFOF. Watered with Kellogg’s fish and kelp fert mixed into filtered water for the first week, currently watering only filtered water this week and will water with Kellogg’s next week. Light is a 600w vivosun mh
Let me know what you think!

They look good, but if your in FFOF you shouldn't need to feed anything for the first several weeks so Id suggest straight water for now ... if your uppotting into FFOF as well again you won't need fertilizers for a few weeks ... usually 3 to 4 at least

They’re going to be reported after like 20-30 days in the cup into 3 gallon pots. Ima make a blend of FFOF, Malibu compost, earth worm castings, Dr earth all purpose and dr earth flower girl. Going to be doing compost teas every 2 weeks and laying a ground cover of clover seed to keep my soil moist. After the first month of the plants life I’ll only be using the fish and kelp as a foliage spray

Sounds fine. Your plants look fine. Careful with your intended feeding schedule. it’s probably fine, but follow the plants and ramp up. You can always veg longer, and feed more. You can’t unburn them.

idk if I would foliar feed for any real reason.

The foliage spray is because the leaves uptake some water. Not a lot. But they do uptake water. It’s all part of keeping the plants happy and healthy

Oh, I get the mechanism of action. I just don’t do it, because there’s no need if your soil or grow medium is fine. The only time I have foliar sprayed is if a pepper or tomato plant needed immediate calcium uptake. And that’s only if I or someone else has fucked up nutrients. Yeah, the leaves uptake water. Your goal isn’t to make them uptake as much water as possible.

Foliar feeding is definitely not a part of keeping plants happy and healthy.

I wouldn’t factor it into your feeding, at all. In flower it will just hurt ya.

Foliar sprays that don't use a product specific to that purpose often do more harm than good so just be careful. Increases the likelihood of getting powdery mildew. Also ive just never found them to be particularly effective.

Also ... why are you planning to keep them in the little cups for so long?

How long should I leave them in the cups?
