So I just transplanted from my aero cloner to a fabric pot 2:1 perlite/coco coir with lava rocks at the bottom and I have no clue what I am doing. I gave the plant nutrients like the bag of coco said and my plant is like so sad its all wilted and hung over. The drainage is much too quick, when I pour anything into the coco it just comes out the bottom right away. How am I suppose to water coco? The water comes out immediately as I am watering how is the drainage this good? I don't know what to do my plant is really sad looking I thought this is a hydroponic alternative but now my plant looks like shit compaired to when it was in hydroponics...and I cant figure out how to water/nutrient this plant everything just runs right thru....

It was gold label Coco-coir and horticultural grade perlite, mixed 2:1 with some volcanic stone at bottom.

doesn't seem to be much perlite in the mix?

I can only tell you what I do in coco first i rinse for a good half hour straight out the tap. Next I ph enough water for a good flush and add a small amount of nutrient around 300ppm. then i fill 1/5 pot at bottom with perlite and i fill with a 20/80 perlite coco mix also i add 1tsp dolomite lime on initial mixing.

top fed hand watered daily and I have not looked back since i switched over a year ago.

lava rocks may be messing with ph. I do not know this but remember reading up on different mediums for dwc and think there was something about that.

why the rocks? I would just mix some coco/perlite put the perlite towards the bottom as it starts to rise after time and either plant some new seeds or hope they survive another transplant.

I don't know if that is even the problem but is the only thing I can think.

seems your not that far along so shouldn't set you back far. IMO a few plants started now with no issues will pass those up in a couple weeks.

The coco bag said it was already pre-moistened and buffered, I followed the bags instructions(plant my plant, feed with a low nutrient solution), and the water/nutes run right thru. The plant is still clinging to life, and btw this is my only cut left of this plant and it is my best genetics. (skywalker OG kush) . So I need to keep it alive to continue the gene's my other plant that I took the cut from is in flowering right now let me grab some pics for you guys.

I think I burned the one plant by using too much nutrients to be honest. Any help is appreciated harsh or kind and thank you all.

She's coming back around, looks like the soil was totally saturated when I bought it by the company. Growth looking good, also my plant may have had shock from moving from hydroponics to coco.
