New to growing, this is my setup..Will it work?

So, I went and got Fox Farm nutrients and soil along with everything that is shown here, now It took me forever to figure out how to do it..and I think I finally have it setup so it will work correctly.
The plants in the back though, are they getting enough light? and also are the lights too close and is it too much?? I'm fairly new and I planted them today at 12 something so they definatly aren't close to sprouting yet.

It'll work, for sure. You're going to need more lights at some point though...I don't think you can have too many cfls imo.
Good luck...and patience! ;)

Thanks alot dude, I'm really excited to get this going, and yes I actually DO have more lights, I need more cords. :p So I'm going to have as many as I can, add more foil and put in some fans when they begin to veg.

Using - Fox Farm Happy Frog soil with the liquid nutrient trio (following the feeding schedule provided)

4 60w cfls per plant (soft white)

Oh and the seeds are bagseed from some reggies I had so I have no clue what to expect, they may not grow at all for all I know XD

Also, another newbie questing while I have you here - I gave them bottled water because I didn't have time to wait for the chlorine to evaporate out of my tap, it should be fine right?

Bottled water's fine, I've had to do that a few times myself. (This is of most importance if you intend an organic grow)

At a push I let water, just too hot to put a hand in, cool down. By the time it's done that I reckon on all the chlorine's gone....

Ah, awesome thanks! I will update on the growth frequently, and I get the feeling I'm gonna be back for alot more questions :)

You have the wrong spectrum of light to start out with, for vegging you need 6500k spectrum.

What high man said is correct your going to need 6500k spectrum for veg but you can keep some of the 2700k bulbs in their but at a 3:1 ratio which mimics the season it would be if it were outside in the sun...figure out a way to put your lights straight across...and you want the lights about 2 inches away from the plant or seed in this case

Yea, I missed how he had them positioned, good catch robert.

Damn...I didn't realize I had the wrong bulbs, I suppose it's not THAT big of a deal and I can go and pick up the right ones...But does this mean that these plants are most likely not going to have the correct lighting to sprout/grow?

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how I could get the lights to be flat above the plants it would be much appreciated as I had tried everything and I could only come up with what you see.

Well that looks like you wired that yourself, not to be down on myself, but I don't think I'm capable of constructing any light fixtures.

I'm thinking of connecting hooks to the power bars, and taking a bungee cord and hanging it from the ceiling so maybe that would work better, but as they are now I can move them up or down, do they need to be closer?

Also I still need to know if the lights are going to be enough to get them started atleast.

If you can find some of the straight bars for lights like in a bathroom length would depend how many you'd need...or try taking coat hangers and put one end on each strip and attach it to the coat hanger on the light next to it...it would be like a bridge between lights

Your plants'll be fine until you can get some 6500's...they may stretch a little, but that's all.
I wouldn't hang around though, they really grow when they grow!

Alright cool, thank god I thought I was fucked and it was bumming me out all morning lol, I'll be sure to get those bulbs asap and robert, that coat hanger idea was actually a really really good one thank you!

a few suggestions...

if you have to stick with the cfl for now due to budget..maybe look into MH bulbs with a medium base to help round out the UV. They can be found at any hardware store, takes some looking though.

but, in the long run...you have to get better lighting.
I tried in vain with fluorescent for three years....such a waste of time.

I have seen successful CFL growage..but it's with much labor and not a lot of reward.

Save up $200 and get you one of these: 600W complete setup

I saved up for a 400W version without the hood and once I saw the results..I quickly saved for the 600W with hood.
It is MORE than worth the $

...finally have my first all indoor indica in flower :)bongsmilie

Well the reason I can't get MH or HPS is because they are both way out of budget range, they produce too much heat that I can't control, a shit ton of electricity which I'd rather not use, I've seen a bunch of people have success with less lighting than me on Youtube, it's not a reliable source but I think I can produce decent buds out of this..if they aren't all males..If I am wrong though, please correct me as I am a newbie to growing.

Edit - I had 3 more cfls sitting around so i added them, and I got the coat hanger method to work for one of the bars, but the others seem to be directly over the plants and they look like theyre getting a good spectrum of light. (I have 6 bulbs now to only 1 plant, if that shit isn't enough to get it going I don't know what is)
