Don't look at the wattage get a par meter you need around 600 for flowering as far a which brand really matters on what you can fit into your budget and you definitely get what you pay for

Fuck the par meter. Just get a light that matches your square footage and dim or brighten as needed.
Par meter is really good for nothing, and an unneeded expense

As one sq need around 32W will be enough, so 9*9 ft will need around 2592W will be fine. For this big room, light strips will be a good choice.Could put two 1000W light strips in each side and add some small watt light in the corner. Or could use two 1200W light and a 200W light strips as a supplemental light.

What you're describing would not adequately light the area. LEDs don't have much spread. If he built his own lights he could probably figure it out but what you're describing would have a lot of dark areas

After reading through everybody's post. I appreciate all the advice.
Ive narrowed it down to HLG, chilLED, or grow craft.
Forgive for still being a lil undereducated when it comes to actual wattage vs wattage, its hard because there are so many companies you can't trust. And my math is terrible.
Im also dividing this space 2/3 flower 1/3 veg.

Dont know much about light strips, you gotta link? What about a veg vs flower?

So roughly 54ft² flower 27 ft² veg?

With your low ceiling heights, I’d definitely go with the growctaft
2 of those over a 5x10 area would be 50ft² so you have a good flower area there.

Vegging you clearly don't need as much power so you can either get another one of the diy 1000 since they are on sale and a great value, or if you're trying to save a couple bucks somewhere you could get one of those Mars fc e 6500 and they should veg a 5x5 area. If you have any presence on social you could reach out to @MarsHydrofactory and maybe get a discount or sponsored light to post a couple pictures. Seems like they have been pretty heavy on that. I'm guessing it could be because they were putting lower bin diodes on some fc series lights that were being marketed as having 301b. They seem to be upfront about the fce model and @jondamon seems to be liking his and I like both of my fc lights for whatever that's worth
