Hi, the name is tescu. I reside in the midwest,(early 20's) and I've been smokin since around 9th grade. I've sold alot of bud throughout my years and now I have decide to grow my own. I have spent a bit of time reading different forums and I have decided this is a really nice one. I live by myself and I have decided to use a closet that was not currently in use. I went out and purchased starting soil, normal soil, 4 27 watt CFL lights @5,500 k each. (only 3 up so far)

The closet is 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep. and about 7 feet tall.

I initially bought some bogus lights I had to return, but I really need suggestions on lighting.

I am running the setup through an electronic timer surge protector.

I took a nice valued bagseed and used that to start things off.

I sowed the seed facing up, gave it adequate water, and I have it sitting under the lights at 23/1 cycle.

I have just purchased 5 seeds through nirvana of the strain (snow white)

I have a couple of questions for people here, and please dont be disrespectful with your answers.

I currently have one seed with 3 lights on it. (until i receive the order)

You need nutes and more lights Id get about 7 42w 2700k cfls or just go all out and buy a hid for like 200.but if you go with the cfl's
buy these

and these

Make a light mount out of them im sure you can figure out how to do that.

So i have finished setting up my grow box. I used zipties to secure a power strip on each long side of the box. I have two overhead hanging lights. I am planning on successfully growing 3 plants at a time. With the splitters and socket adapters I have a lot of options on what I want to do. the system is on a surge protector with a built in electronic timer. The whole setup is lined with heavy duty aluminum foil.

I need advice on what type of small fan to purchase. I would like to make a cutout near the top of the enclosure.

I currently only have one bag seed in there, but I did order 5 femed snow white seeds so hopefully I will receive those in a week or two.

I will be posting pictures soon, what I want to do is vent through my attic. I am growing inside a closet that has a door into the attic. The door is about 2 feet tall. My biggest question is if this is safe? I live in MN and its cold in the winter... I'f I run a vent through carbon into this attic, there shouldnt be mold or anything growing in the winter..

I am concerned that there could be odor that seeps through the house into the downstairs tenant (its a top bottom duplex)

The area of the attic it filters into is small, probably 8 feet deep, 5 feet wide, and 4 feet high.

hopefully someone can answer that for me!

So I have decided to make a DIY carbon scrubber resembling one made by zen. I will use two 6'' fans to assist in moving the air in and out. The scrubber will lead through the trap door in the closet into the attic. If anybody things I should do it differently let me know. Outside of the closet I will keep an air ionizer (not inside the closet). I will use that to help with any excess odor. And I have also considered using ONA pro

So what I am going to do is set up that carbon scrubber into that attic entrance. From what you guys see, is there anything I might have overlooked with this. I am going to eventually raise the top of the rubbermaid and hang it on the bar above. The rubbermaid should be able to house 2-3 plants, im thinking i will do two. With the carbon scrubber leading through that door I feel it'll work well with removing any smells. Also, I will have an air ionizer next to the glass table outside of the closet.
When they're flowering I'm expecting to have around 300watts of cfls surrounding the plants. Real soon here I will line the inside of the closet with foil or mylar, and take care of any aircracks in the doorway.

Anybody have any advice on ona? what smells they got, and whats so good about the ona pro?

I went to walmart today and got carbon, pantyhose, and the small pencil holder to complete the zen carbon scrubber. Unfortunately they did not have any larger dize pencil holders so I will check out office max tomorrow after work
