For me its worrying. I don't like to get anxious, paranoid, or nervous about what I'm doing. Whatever it is.. my peace of mind comes first

I see it kind of like hard drugs, there are plenty of people doing horrible things to themselves and others and many of them never get caught. I avoid all of those people that make those choices, and I think its a low percentage that somebody growing a few pot plants at this stage is going to face legal consequences but it gives the power to the system to determine it. When you play by the rules they cant do anything, and what they're doing right now, changing their own rules, is suspicious to those that think like I do. I've taken legal courses and know how crooked lawyers and cops are.. i paid for the med card and I'm playing by the rules, why the fuck are they changing them? $uspicious

Last year I went to a friend's house who always has a very impressive vegetable garden, that you see as soon as you drive into their property. Right in front were 3 giant plants about 7' tall. They are rather popular people in town and know a lot of folks. I saw several police friends of theirs, there many times and not one even batted an eye.

Of course, it only takes one Barney Fife and there goes the neighborhood I guess.

In my area people aren’t as obvious outdoors yet, but it’s quite rural (upstate, st. Lawrence river) so there is no need to be, most folks have plenty of property to hide a few plants away on. But they aren’t being secretive either, I know of at least 5 grows in my small city and there surely are at least a dozen others I would bet, people aren’t afraid anymore of the law, they realize marijuana busts are a bit of a faux pas these days. But I agree there are a large number of people that will argue that it is legal, I think it was irresponsible of the state to publish the guidelines almost a year prior to the possibility of them being the law. They also we’re worded in such a way as to give one the impression that they were already in place. I realize this is because that is the proposed law, so that IF and WHEN it takes effect, that is how it will function, but most people read that a patient is allowed 3 vegetative and 3 flowering plants, they are like, “sweet, I can grow 6 pot plants now!”

I'm sure it confuses a lot of people. But when it happens, it's fine with me. I'm fine with 6. I'm in a city... if I move out and get a house in the country I'll grow some more deep in the woods and be fine...

I keep seeing these trashy police arrest articles on my windows taskbar ticker, so many people are getting arrested on hard drug charges, and none of them are for straight marijuana offenses but enough of them, meth, fentanyl, crack, fake Xanax pills, that the police confiscate the weed also and add it to the list of charges. I think I can infer that none of these people had the police using surveillance on them for pot, but they're still racking up charges and I don't like it. Fuck risks. I want the possibility down to an absolute nil.

Yes the plant needs to be fully legalized.

Although I would say the number isn't high, I'll bet some of these cops are busting people that grow following the state laws, using federal laws. Like if someone's involved in a domestic disturbance, and the cops find weed, they will bust them and charge for it, adding it to the list to make the arrest more serious. I'll go so far as to say that people that are paying for these grow permits, some of them will get busted using federal laws. In all my years of living and wisdom I know that if they crooked cops, and people of America vs you, want to get you, they will.

I don’t think the feds want to hear about it unless your hitting gigantic metrics. That being said you are right I think there’s a number of folks out west that can attest to the fact that running a state registered legitimate business doesn’t really matter to the big guy if he gets it in his head he wants you.

Hell , we will never get anywhere......legally. Certainly hasn't stopped me from growing enough for what I like to stock. How-f'ing-ever , I do fancy growing a " Jack And The Beanstalk " mofo outside in my backyard . I'm getting a little older....in need of my magnus opus .

Lots of help and yuks in this special sanctum.........and some " curveballs " ( for example......some unhappy camper will " Will Smith " bitch-slap ya and you'll think WTF ! I usually ignore but it can be fun to cross swords.

That's ancient news my friend. People like me that paid for a medical card were promised that the 6 plant limit rule would be enacted some time last spring, being a certain number of months from the new MRTA rules, which was supposed to be way ahead of the 18 months after the first dispensary opens law for non-medical growers. This is nearly a year past that date, and they are continuing to delay it. Keep doing some more digging and the corruption will bubble to the surface amongst all of the word work.

It will happen…right after whatever companies win whatever clandestine bidding wars with the state get their doors open to the Rec market…then they will ‘allow’ us to grow our own medicine.
