Newb grower need some help

If the pH of the soil is right, you don't NEED pH up or down. I don't care if your watering/nutrient solution is 8.5, the soil will buffer that to 6.8. Now if the pH of your water is that high, it might be a good idea to adjust it down so as not to maybe shock the roots. If you do need a pH down (you wont need UP I assure you) go to an aquarium store and get some pH down. Anything safe for fish is safe for plants. You can also use lemon juice, vinegar, or the like to adjust the water pH, but I never worry about it. My water from the tap is around 7 or 7.2.

And 1 more question, how much will my light bill go up with that light? im worried about it going up a couple hundred lol

My light bill went up $200 with the 3 1Ks and some 400s and a portable A/C, dehumidifier, floros, fans, etc. and I had no issues. You bill will be nowhere near that.

I don't know what your rates are but for me, when I run 1 400w for 18hrs a day it comes out too $28.something a month. When I switch to flower (12hrs a day) I run 2 400w which costs me about $34 a month.

you can google a formula for kilwat per hour. pretty easy to follow.
