Hi All,Newbie grower here, quick details of 1st grow and ongoing details for 2ND grow, feedback welcomed, if I miss anything ask away and I'll edit to include.
1st grow quick overview :
Seeds: taken from seedy bag of amnesia haze(may be cross genetics with ak47 or blue dream, may also be self pollinated which would be my guess as every seed has been female so far)
Lights: 2 X 300w cfl giant bulbs with twin hood, bulbs are horizontal 50/50 2700K+4000k
Space: 2" deep wardrobe with sliding mirror doors.
Method: two plants, 1 per bulb, topped below 5th node, twisty ties used to pull branches down forming bowl canopy under bulb.
Soil: used coco, brand unknown poor quality. Never flushed/ph'd at start
Nutrients: GH flora series 1000ppm by end of flowering stage.
Grow 1 ended up with just shy of 3.5oz dried (root problems on one plant due to accidental nipping of tap root during germination, other plant lost upper two limbs due to hood falling onto it)
Fairly happy given 1st grow, crap coco and budget lighting.
2ND grow, vegged four plants same lighting same nutrients(dialled in this time) using canna 60/40 clay/coco mix in 8L square pots.
Plants are 1 week into flower, with a 4 week veg.
2 plants seem sativa dominant, two seem indica, both extremely bushy but two shorter than other two.
Topped below 6th node, unfortunately I missed a week over new year(mid veg) and training is therefore all screwed up with canopy all over the place.
Temps are 23-25 during lights on and minimum of 16 during off (fan heater in cupboard comes on at 16 Celsius and off at 22, heater pointed at back wall and not the plants)
Currently feeding around 500ppm equal amounts of calmag sup, micro, grow & bloom(1tbsp each to 8L water), working up to multiple feeds per day (2/3) with just enough run off to measure nutes/ph. (In=650ml @ 5.8 & 500ppm, out =200ml @ 6.5-6.8 & 300ppm)
The cupboard has no ventilation just one oscillating fan over canopy and smaller static fan opposite side.
2ND grow plants seem much happier, growing vigorously with many secondary branching and bud sites.
Considering a budget COB fixture (DIY)
8 X Vero 18 over 2X4 space @ 1.4A however funds are limited.
