Newbie grower i have question that needs immediate answer please

So first time grower i have 4 plants in 5 gallons and 3 in 3gall fabric pots nov. 30 will be 1 month since transplanted for all 3months from seed except the ones in 3 gallons the like 3 weeks younger than rest. First question 5 gallons should i transplant again before i flower or can i keep them in 5g remember nov 30 will be month for them being in 5g. Im triying to let the 3 gallons catch up in growth. Second question. Should i defoliate some leaves off 5g or branch them out. Side note 5x5 tent optic 600h slim big roots soil

so you are trying to grow 7 plants in a 5by5 tent? its going to get real crowded the 5 gal should be sufficient drill holes in the sides and yes defoliate the lower leaves for sure and good luck

First off welcome to the community. Well I see you dove right in. First off the five gallon is fine to finish them in it’s up to you if you want to move them one more time. And second I would defoliate some of the leaves. Have to started any LST? And are the three gallons going to be a month on the 30th as well?

Thank you. For 5gall Will they get root bound within 8 to nine weeks. Yes 1 month in 3gall on 30 th only training i did was top and bend a couple branches so it can spread im trying to post pic but it won't let me

Pics would be a great help to see bits it’s kool. That good to open up the leaves. And topping for a bushier plant. Also if ur trying to get the 3 gallons as tall as the 5 gallons You might want to raise the 3g pots or start training the 5g pots by tying them down land let the 3 g pot catch up like that.

I would just go for it and see what happens, having a crowded space to figure out whos your strongest to keep, i started with 6 and at week 5 of flower, 3 plants had to go. I agree with raising the pots( 3gal )to equalize the canopy height of all the plants.

If they are in fabric pots, don't worry about transplanting either the 3 or 5 gallon, just go ahead and flip them before they get any bigger. Otherwise, you will be trimming too much after you start flowering and it could stress the plants. The plants will not be root bound in fabric, it just means you will water more often.

I just made the mistake of vegging 4 plants for 10 weeks in a 4x4 tent, they got so big and bushy I ended up trimming at least 1/2 the lower branches off. I will never veg that long again, it was just a waste of time given the limited space in the tent.
