Newbie plowin along

Ok, smalltime pothead in middle of US wantin to grow some of his own. Not wantin to be truly active in it, seein as how that'd make me stay home rather then in town. Got bout 75 bomb ass seeds that im wantin to drop. So, can I just pick out a spot, plant em, an let em be? Will that work out? Lots of deer around, that's only thing im really worried bout. Great farming/growing/whatever soil, all plants are green an lush around the area i wanna do it in. Just wantin some tips, or knowledge if i can passively do this. thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Seems to me fredlnoakes or something like that had a thread about his method for this. I think it was chiesel plowing. May wnt to check that out. He had some other ideas around ponds and such. VV

Ok, hopefully this gets posted on my thread, new to forums, nevah used the things much. Anyways. Read the burlap sack an whatnot, its all cool. Tryin to find burlap right now for the rest of my crop, but for the 15 i got down already lets just hope for the best, no? Now, heres another predicament. Poison ivy. I got it all over the place around here, not allergic so that doesnt matter, but doesn't it slightly resemble a marijuana leaf? I just read an article that said it only had 3 leaves though, so i'm confused as hell. Also, around an area that I dropped a few seeds off a while ago theres several things growing. I found my plant that i actually started on the spot, but hteres a lot of other things around it. They grow in a vine-type system i guess... but they got five leavesa that look JUST like pot. They also have hairs all over the surface. I can take pics if need be, but just wonderin if anyone would know anything off the top of their head. Eh, can't think of anythin else to say right now so i guess imma drop off. Peace, an thanks. OOO, by the way, how do we know that cops dont bust down on this site?

Poison ivy is great no one else is going in it if they know what it is. All most as good as a pitbull I am not going near ether.

cinquefoil

Staghorn Summac (leaves are nto similar, but it is similar colors and from across a field it could fool you)

oh yeah and it even buds...
False Aralias

Japanese Maple

Texas Star Hibiscus

(a very good one to try and make your plants look like with fake red flowers tied to your stash)

The look alikes go on and on, so it may only be a vine you saw that looks like weed.

Ah, cool. Mmk, wait.. i had a question when i started this reply... uh..well, isn't this a predicament... O yea, what about all the leaves. Surely I can do something with all them, and the resin bubbles or whatever. I heard about resin bubbles, my plants apparently arent big enough to have them yet. And I still havent found any look-alikes that match what is out there. But i know its not poison ivy, so o wells. Dropped a few more in the ground tday an just wonderin if anyone has any useful tips that i might not have found in the forums. by the way , where do i buy burlap, i cant find any stores around here that sell it...

baking before posting is a dangerous habit ~ Burlap sacs are kind of tricky to find as I am just learning. I just made calls to like 15 feed supply stores and Garden centers. I found a place called Agway which has 18"x32" (1.5'x3') burlap sacs but they werent sure off hand how much they were. At this point though with all the other places only having poly (plastis) sacs I am willing to pay whatever.

Good luck, do a search on google for "feed store garden supply, your city, your state" and start dialing, lol.

I found one of the easiest ways outdoors is to start late around june and grow in either "grow bags" or a large pot. I've done it both ways. Grow bags are nice cause all you have to do is dig a hole and cut a hole in the bottom of the grow bag and plant. Use some mulch from around the area to cover it up a little bit. I've also used large green containers and planted 3 plants in them and went back and sexed them later.

ive heard this about june planting. i put six in the ground today and will put six more next week.i also am going to put out six in june to test this method. have you personally done this? peace

never had problems with deer though they were around for all the grows. I'm not sure what it is that digs them up in the spring when you plant. i think my friend kyle said it was racoon's but i think possums. We determined it had something to do with the smell of the freshly overturned soil and damn little curious critters.

Ah, ok. Well, i found some deer shit around my plant sites, but if you say they werent a problem then i wont worry bout htem Dropped 15 in the ground tday. but im wondering, could all this be a waste? I mean, when the yget big enough, what if all of them turn out male, i'd be fucked. Hah, oh well. thanks all.
