Newbie questions about cooltubes/air coolable reflectors

Would there be any point in using an aircoolable reflector with an inline fan, if I'm not going to run ducting outside of my grow room? Would this still decrease the temperatures around my plants, allowing me to put my light closer to them? I'd be using a 400w HPS in a room that is about 10 by 10 feet. Thanks in advance.

How's the heat going to escape from your grow room?
I open the doors a few times a day. I've already grown in this room with some ok yields, but temperatures were pretty high from 85-90f. I had to keep my HPS light much further away from my plants than I'd like to. I thought the air cooled reflector and fan might help draw heat away from the plants, even without running ducting outside the room, but I'm still a newbie. I really don't want to put holes in my walls to vent outside of the room.

If this wouldn't work, is there any other ways I can cool my room down? I'm going to get a cool mist humidifier because my humidity is also low, so hopefully that helps a bit. Thanks for your reply.

air cooled lamps would help somewhat, in the scenario you describe. They'd keep the immediate heat off the plants, but would do nothing for the ambient temperature of the grow room. But, given you don't want to knock walls down, go for it any way; it's not going to hurt an will prevent tips burning.
And it's always good to experiment...?
