Roots don't like light

I saw a thread where someone got mold from having clear pots

you think if i would put duck tape around it the roots would be fine

Tape or even tinfoil would work.

well some of the leaves died so i snipped them off but none of the new fan leaves
the new little set though has yellow near the center stem

heres some more pics one to the left is 3 weeks and it seems small
theres also a small brown dot on it please tell me what it could be
also that cheap setup for a max out price of $10

anyone? how she look for 3 weeks

im not an expert or anything but they look a little small for 3 weeks. . . but im judging that off my first grow as well. . .

imo i think its the amount of light your using. . . i use a 400 Mh light. . . and even set them outside from time to time.

did you use nutes, because im not using anything other than perlite and potting soil

i just started using nutes on sunday. . . plants were 4 weeks on 4/20. . . so they celebrated just as well as i did. . . but i was foliage feeding with Liquid Karma for about two weeks prior to starting up the nutes. . .

well can anyone give me a brand of nutes i can get at lowes

you don't have a local hydroponics store or anything? or just rather go the lowes route?

the only thing i have is lowes and walmart

i use Top Max. you only want a couple of nutes like Root, Groom, Bloom, (unless you use tap water) Rain water is the best (N)
Root juice first then nothing for 3 weeks then (Remembering that Good soil you buy has 4 weeks foods for the plant) (Groom VEG) Then Bloom 3 weeks befor the end of Flowering
And the reason its so small is coz the amount of light your useing and the soil (cannabis needs soft soil the best thing to buy is soil with a little sand in as the roots can make there way though easy and the water doesnt hold) ((((GREAT FOR CFLS))))
What watt is the bulbs your usieng and dont listen to everyone who says put the Cfls Close put them about 5 inc away
really you need about 75watts + but tubes dont work very well sideways but they are better standing up coz it helps the plant to grow with it .Nice and tall

What Cfls you got (watts)
i have 340watts of cfls for one plant to get a beast
2 x 85w (5400 lumens each) 2700k
4 x 30w (2000 lumens each) 2700k
3 x 25w (1600 lumens each) 4000k - 6400k

well each bulb is 18 watts but the box said it puts out 1000+ lumens

i'll rearrange my grow area this weekend and get more lights
