I really like alot of the things you've said and sound very much alike, this is my 1st time using the line idk just got reeled in watching the show. My seedlings are going into coco loco in a week and im scrambling to figure out my base water, theres so much info and i feel like its so much different than the ff line my minds boggled. U seem like a really busy guy just looking for some simple answers. My well water has 330 ppm and 7.3 ph. Was wondering if bottled spring water would be a better option. I do have the city coming to test it in a couple weeks. Anyones input would be very much appreciated.
I am fkn tickled pink to finally have a friend in life. Unfortunately if I'm posting I am either sick or laid out with hip and or lumbar problems full of anxiety and pissed offed as a mofo. I also noticed I don't do my best at anything from work to play when I am actively posting here or at any forum. Same reason I threw my fking cell at a brick wall 8 years ago and have proudly not owned one since .
To answer your question I always stayed away from bottled spring water but its probably fine for most the grow. You cant brew great beer or grow great weed with ok water. A good tested drinking spring could be the ticket if mag and iron are not to crazy . Im not sure if you had a full spec test done, but where I come from you have to take your water to a lab to have the water tested for minrals, toxic elements as well as bio and chemical contamination .Your ppms are not to bad and the ph is good to go for nutes but going to be to high for some strains to just water with . I would probably veg and transition with that water as long as it test at safe levels for the big three , nitrates and chemical toxins. As flower kicks in I would start to filter or mix in distilled/Ro increasing the amount of distilled/Ro until your all distilled/ro for the last week or two of feeding and all of flush if you flush. There are some glass aluminum filters that are great with a little diy and air pressure. By no means is distilled or r/o water that best for plants but where I come from its very hard to know if you really have good water all the time and its all over 600ppms that I have tested. I hope things are getting out of control for you in your flower room in a good way.

Thanks a lot for the reply. That was actually just what I was looking for I was definitely overthinking it and needed a simple answer. My minds at ease. I also smashed my phone about 2 years ago and haven't bought one since and have never been happier staying to myself. These two gelato OGs are starting week 3 and have 5 nodes. I've been mixing the spring water with the tap water and then pH it down to around 6.5. Seems to be working just fine. I'll post a pic soon. Thanks again for the help.

You mean well water not tap ? I would not use tap from anywhere around my parts? Around here they pull water from perfectly good springs and aquifers, treat it for nothing add chlorine and or chloramine for that treated taste and then charge for what could have been free here in CPA.

I have the whole advanced line now, slf100, and photo plus. I was gonna use the slf with feeding and photo plus on tea day. I don't have any teas just the nutes. Is there any nutrients i can use with photo plus instead of an actual tea on tea day and what type of water would i use with photo plus? Its 4 weeks old and have 2 half strength feedings in so tea days tomorrow.

Is NFTG a calcium based formulated nutrient delivery system?

I keep hearing too much calcium is bad but from my.understanding it's a semi mobile nutrient that is self regulating and is utilized in almost all biological functions from creating carbs/aminos/enzymes/cell structure while utilizing sugars and helping regulate transportation and photosynthesis...

But that's just my take

Just use Photo+ on you "tea day". If you were to use Photo+ along with say Cultured EZ Tea would be redundant.

Ya everythings calcium based I guess thats the way the nutrient line delivers all the other nutes and stores them in the soil. The microbes break it down and make it available. And by using all organic nutrients all the microbes are staying alive. By adding slf 100 and photoplus its just making sure it's using the stored nutrients in the soil so you're not wasting your money when feeding. Amongst many other things. you hit the nail on the head though except in my opinion I believe calcium's probably one of the most important nutrients.

okay that's what I was going to do photoplus on Tea days. Should I use that with distilled water or my well water and I'm wondering if I'm going to have to add other nutrients to bring the pH Down

I dont really have the knowledge to answer questions about nectar though. Thats why im on this thread. Compared to alot of these guys i have the knowledge of a caveman Lol but i catch on quick so absolutely any questions i have i gotta ask em bc i wanna stick with this line

TOO MANY BOTTLES FOR AN ORGANIC;LIKE THE CHEMICALS ARE GOING TO REACT, RIP OFF.
It is pricey, theres a shit load of bottles and additives to the line, and it all seems very confusing, but im only doing this for myself and want it to be all the way around the best so the extra money is worth it trying to figure out whats gonna give me what i want and as i learn more i might get a better idea of what "the best" is for me. At this time this line is what many others recommended. Cant knock it till i try it right? Im not looking for something easy Im looking to learn the exact science of it all and learn how the plants respond to all the micro and macro nutrients and microbes and enzymes. Im definitely gonna need help along the way though i just hope all the experienced nectar growers arent all burned out on answering the same questions other people have asked over and over. So im thankful for any responses to questions i have.

Quick question about terpene profiles when using NFTG’s
The guy who has designed the nute line was talking on Y-tube about ‘flavor’ profiles. That Tritons tended to cause an earthy flavor to predominate. He further explained the use of other products (pig bone (cerces?) among others) that influence taste. He mentioned that ‘feather meal’ caused fruity flavors. My question is what product(s) contain feather meal and/or how do I facilitate that flavor profile assuming it is inherently available in the plant?
Thanks for any help. I don’t have a lot of experience with this nute line in flower. I’m currently flowering white widow/ Obama kush/ GDP

don't know if this helps but here is my take on what i've used from nftg

tritons - fuel/gas & jar appeal & colors
aphrodites - sweetner & oils & jar appeal
herculean - weight & density & yield, fruity
persephones - more terpene variety
demeters - calcium cal/mag
mega - seabird guano tea mango fruit
circes serum - earthy sage & rosemary

It is, and a lot of "growers " will try to tell you to nftg is bad or calcium is bad because it's antagonistic when in the rihizo zone... but that's just them grasping at straws of organic chemistry they know nothing about.

Like a lot of growers on here, they can list the elemental symbols and their ppm or percentage values but can't explain how the plant uptake specific nutrients or why.

Keep learning. NFTG is an amazing line. Even their PH up and down are bomb

I grew with NFTG for almost 2 years, and yes its a great line. I grew some great flower in size, taste, and bag appeal. I just got tired of the Herculean crust, mixing time and the cost. If I was running 2-4 plants I would easily grow with NFTG again.

One think I took into consideration their is a know grower/breeder who goes by ThugPug aka Growmer and only grows with it. That guy is one of the tops of the game.

Im stickin with it for now. Its my 1st time using. It but they look great at 5 weeks old using the whole advanced line, slf 100, and photo+. I already had to do a light defoliation because the plant was really compact with leaves bigger than my hand at 6" tall. I also just got a blue lab ph meter hope its worth the money and easier to use than the cheap ones.

A friend ran it for yrs, here in the med market and produced amazing buds.

Training is always genetics and environment, so if what your doing works keep it up, if you need to augment the process to ellicit a specific response, it's entirely possible.

Blu lab makes the best meters , everything from new Zealand is better

I usually do a 1 plant s.o.g. so i do topping and training early and end up having to defoliate a few times even though i dont want to. When i do i het great responses though. Probably due to the genetics i like. Indica dominant. Im doing Gelat.Og from seedsman now. I got the blue lab ph meter last night and have it soaking in the kci storage solution and gonna calibrate it tonight. I wonder how often im gonna have to calibrate it. It came with the 3 pouches of solution that im gonna use today. So im gonna have to buy more do i have to use blue labs and do they sell it?
