Hey RIU! This is my second indoor grow and hopefully this one will go better. I learned a bunch from my last growing experience and now more knowledge and actually some better seeds, last time just used some random bag seeds from various good buds I had accumulated over time. This time I went with Nirvana's version of Northern Lights Feminized Autoflowering seeds. Got 5 but only germinated and planted two. Doing a rubbermaid grow 150 watts HPS and CFLs. Pictures soon!

Ive got 10 of these goin as well, they are looking great but I'm getting bothered by how long they are taking to flower. Im just about 5 weeks from seed and still no signs of flowering yet.

Try switching to 12/12 light/dark schedule for a few weeks to help induce flowering hormones, what light schedule are you on right now? 24/0, 20/4, or 18/6?

Wow Rug, five weeks and still no flowering? That seems too long to me. Wonder what could cause that? Maybe the NL has like five week veg? I might write Nirvana and ask. I hope mine dont veg that long. I'm on day 19 and I was expecting mine to start flowering any day now. I got some new cfl's and I went ahead installed my flowering setup/lights. I was hoping this might help induce the flowering as well. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Onein, how about posting some pics? I'd love to see what ur plants look like. Later.

Theyve been 20-4 the entire time. They are getting way bigger than expected as well. I was expecting when it was all said and done that they would end up bein 2 to 2 1/2 ft tlal but ones already 20'' and hasnt even shown sex yet. I might be runnin out of room!

Rug you should start a grow journal and post pics. I think that your problem might be your lights. If the plants arent getting enough lumens they take longer to flower. The height of the plant is a indication of your lights. The plants are stretching to chase the light that is too weak. Not 100% certain, but if you put up the details of grow (lights, strain, room size, nutes, soil, grow meduim) with some pics it will be a whole lot easier to diagnose. good luck bro.

Well heres a pic these are actually 2 Non autos (Strains are Warlock and Motivation..freebees from Nirvana) and the auto NL i topped to see wat happened. The tall one is a normal NL auto. I have 4 of them under a 400w MH and 6 of them under a 600w HPS. All of em 5 weeks from seed today and been in FFOF since then. Sorry bout the poor quality I dont have a solid camera at the moment. Or else i would have a legit journal going.

HOORAY i woke up this morning to see a few hairs. 4/10 definitely ladies. Still waiting on the rest but at least they are making moves towards flowering. My temps are for sure higher than i would like. On a hot day at high noon it gets all the way up to 92. I picked up a 600w dimmable ballast from quantum for the HPS so when its that hot i turn it down to 75% or 50% and it usually cools down a bit. On average thought the temps sit around 87-88. Still pretty dam hot..

Congrats! I know it is a big relief to see those few hairs. Yeah, try to keep your temps around 73-83 and it looks like you have your stuff pretty downpat. Nice looking girls in that picture.

Gratz my friend I am so happy for you. I think the high heat might of had an effect on the flowering of the plants. I have the same problem as you do. I live in FL and its freaking hot here. My room stays at about an average of 84 degrees or so. But during certain periods and very hot days, the temps get as high as 89 degrees. I hope I dont encounter the same problem you had, but I'm glad we had this discussion so I can be better prepared for flowering. Look on the bright side, now you have a large veg'ed plant that will prob produce more bud. There are worse things in the world lol.

The Nirvana Auto flowering strains Take longer to auto flower than others.
I have Jock Horror and Bubblelious auto`s going now..

And First off these are the same size and girth as there regular Female versions Very Very Impressed so far ..

Do not Induce 12/12 light cycle It will not make them flower and will Be a mistake to do that ..

You need to do 24/7 for at least 2 weeks . Well I went almost 3 weeks just like a Regular strain to get them nice and filled out . But you can start that at first sprout but they wont fill out too much and flower quicker ..

Then I switched to 18/6 . I am amazed at the size and Girth They are the same size as a regular strain. My last grow was the same strains with reg fems,,, and I cant tell the difference .. They will auto flower on there own .. Also do not feed them too often Lite on the nutes very lite . You will have great results // It will take almost as long as a regular strain you will save mabe 2 to 3 weeks .

Just a word again They do take a bit longer than other auto`s but you will see it will be so worth it and they will tolerate a higher temp no higher than 84 when lights are on . It is summer LOL good luck :joint::joint::joint::joint::joint:

Thanks for the info spyvy. I guess them being bigger than most autos is a good thing, bigger yields! (hopefully) My next grow I am thinking about growing "60 Day Wonder" Williams Wonder x Ruderalis. It's supposed to finish from seed to harvest in around 60-65 days. I wonder what the yields are like tho. Maybe have to grow 12 of them to get 5 or 6 ounces of dried bud, i dunno. Anyone ever grown this strain?

Checked my PH level, 6.3. My little sprout is about half an inch out of the dirt, stem is nice and healthy green color but the shell still hasn't popped off, looks like she is wearing a helmet, lol. I don't want to mess with her, just going to leave her alone and hopefully the shell with finally pop all the way off the top, I have been misting the top of the sprout with distilled water maybe that will help the shell crack off all the way. Other than that everything is going good so far.

Just found your journal and will be along for the ride. Had to laugh too cause I am growing NL auto from Nirvana right now and plan on ordering the 60 day wonder next :)

I can confirm what spyvy has said that these autos seem to take their time. Mine broke soil on June 13th and I still don't see any actual bud forming but plenty of sites. They are getting large too, my tallest is coming in over 3 foot tall at this point.

Thanks justforspam24. Yeah I think that Nirvana's Autoflowering strains do take longer than most other Seedbanks. You must be reading my mind because I was going to order the 60 Day Wonder from Attitude next. 60 days is just awesome, I think I might order them and grow them along with my Northern Lights, since they are going to take longer then I hoped, but maybe the yield will make up for the wait! My little sprouts are about 4 inches high now, doing good so far. I will upload some pictures tomorrow. (Tuesday)
