No munches strain?

I have a patient who favors indicas concerned about weight gain as she is very susceptible to the munchies. Can anyone recommend a strong indica dominant strain that definitely won't stimulate appetite?

I dont want this to come off the wrong way.
If she wants to use medicinal mj, she needs to understand that munchies is a side effect.
What she also needs to understand is that she isnt really hungry.
Eat a healthy meal before smoking.

I never get the munchies from MJ regardless of strain.

Yeah, unfortunately its the CBD/CBN that act to suppress nausea and stimulate appetite and THC that tends to suppress it in most people. Consequently pretty much any indica that you find that might suppress appetite is more likely to not have the high your patient is looking for. The ol' catch 22.

This is also part of why the whole marinol thing was such an epic failure for cancer/aids patients.

I still get the muchies and only weigh 275.....OK, so I'm a bit overweight. Look to offer her sugar free jello...in large quantities...filling, cooling on the throat, and calorie safe...also celery to quench the "chew factor". When you're hungry the brain likes the signals it gets from chewing. She may not like the taste, but have her fill up on low calorie stuff to avoid weight gain.

I find the Sativas are not as bad for munchies but imo the stronger the Indica, the worse the munchies. I agree with Althor. Just eat a healthy meal beforehand and keep so 0 calorie munchies like fruit and vegetables on hand. Good luck :leaf:

Fruit and veg are not zero calorie.

You can buy a bike powered generator to power the lights and she can work off the munchies. Better yet send her my way, I got all work to be done. Food is good for you, lazy is not!

^That's right. Low calorie perhaps, but not zero calories. Some melons and other fruit like avocado are not very low calorie at all though. I also agree with what was said above, it's kind of a side effect that comes with MJ. When I was a newbie smoker I would always get the munchies and SMASH on some food, but I don't do it too often now.
