No nutes in my soil

Hi, quick questions. My plant is 16 days old, and looking healthy. I want to start adding nutes to it, and my soil was not name brand, so there is nothing in it. Just dirt. I read that I want something that is high in Nitrogen, but is it too early?

Sounds like some nutes would be ok. Its also possible to wait an other week. Just about any dirt/soil has nutes in it.

If they are grow'n at a good pace I would wait, but research which nute to buy.

I'm using the 3 liquid Fox Farm nutes and following their schedule. I haven't had any issues so far and I'm happy with the product. Whenever you do decide to start feeding, start at a lower dose (I began at a 1/4 strength) and work your way up to full strength every week. It's easier to add nutes then take them away if you over ferted. Good luck.

The plants will start needing weak nutrients when the 3-bladed leaves start growing in. Nitrogen is indeed the main vegging nutrient but the plants will need at least a little of everything. Try to using good organic ferts that won't be too harsh on the little ones and start them at about half strength or less, as Skunk first mentioned. Aside from ferts mixed into the soil, some ferts that are more safe for the little ones are Maxicrop and very light Guano teas. The two together can provide most of what the plants need.

I am looking into leaving expensive hydro store nutes and do'n teas, guano & other natural nutes as...Mother's Finest mentioned.
