While there are many opinions regarding the subject of when to harvest a plant, I cannot find any discussions that pertain to answering THESE QUESTIONS;

" Can a Marijuana plants buds be harvested over time (Similar to tomatoes), or must the buds be harvested as an entire plant? "

You can do them over time, chop the top then let the rest finish up.

ok you wanna harvest a plant when its ready, and that differs person to person. to me i like to let them go about 25% amber tricones. get yourself a magnifyong glass to check tricones out. if your colas reach this point before the lowwer part of the plant does its ok to harvest them first.

What's up, mang? What's good out in Chicago these days? Hopefully it's colder than where I'm at. I've had swamp-ass for days! ;)

I've never heard of it. What's the benefit to harvesting multiple times?
You would harvest your colas first, then continue feeding so that your lower buds would have time to mature. You'll have larger, more developed lower buds. :peace:
