No stress related hermie... what to do?

so I'm looking real close at one of the colas on this plant and what do I see? multipul little male flower cones. really small. my heart starts to pound and and I see that they are everywhere hidden behind the bushy white hairs of this plant. this will produce feminized seeds... no male being present, however wont the seeds that this hermi produces be hermi's as well? is there a chance that they could be normal females? what should i do? Rollitup community, I'm heart broken. I'm only growing three plants, this was by far my favorite, and now... i might have to kill her for being a freak.

freak? no, not a freak - just the rough side of MJ genetics
i've been playing with hermie genetics for the past year, i got some seeds from the same kind of grow the 1st seed was completely without the hermie trait, the 2nd seed, well, that's where my luck ran out
i've been tweezering faithfully for about 4 weeks, not perfect, but not a bad plant

Are all three in flower? Just take out any circulating fan so she does not pollinate the other two and tweeze your ass off are they all the from the same batch of seeds?

so the bannana's wont be able to pollinate and produce seed because there isn't enough time to do it? probably 3-4 weeks to go still. the article you linked makes no mention of passing on hermaphorditic traits when breeding further generations. what gives?

yeah there is no oscillating fans, so pollen should stay localized. tweeze pollen sacks off... okay!

3-4 weeks is plenty of time to form half developed seeds, which from the experiences i've read, are not a good outcome

Do not keep clone the same plant bro over and over genetics wise its a disaster unless you keep adding other plants in ever time you breed it the more you clone the plant the weaker it becomes and less potent.

I just threw out some hermie's~ They were in 4th weeks in flowering and looking sick. Threw'em out. Cause I have 5 more in another closet 1 week in flowering:lol: I show'em  But when I threw'em in the garbage looking at the roots I had root rot and this is what I hope caused the hermies. The seeds were hermies to begin with but I've used them many times before with no hermies. The 5 in the closet now are from a plant that make like 30 seeds total I didn't seed no hermie flowers on the plant.

If your not a drug dealer then hermie is no problem. just do what i do get high and turn your nuggets into shake picking out male flowers and seeds as you go then you get some easy smokable weed just pinch load or roll it up. Just dont grow out the same seeds again if it bothers you. I'll take any hermie weed off your hands that you dont want ahahahahah;-) Stay high buddy and have a great day! Post some pics my man!

alright... I think I'm just going to roll with it, and see what happens, I don't plan on growing out any of it's seeds in the future. I just cant waste her! we'll see how it goes, hopefully the other two plants will be un affected. for future ref the seed strain in question is a ufo freebie dutch passion Blueberry.

No wonder it was free, eh?

Roll with it, toss all the seeds, do LOTS of research and snag some stable genetics to work with.

There are a few good breeders and a LOT of pollen chuckers and this is the result.

Research, research, research and find a stable IBL that is to your liking and stick with it.

I know right?! can't kill her now, and I KNOW THIS BITCH AIN'T STRESSED! bitch please...
Just need to smack her around a little chuck norris the bitch and make her listen:-) Some hermie if there is to big of a drop in temp from night to day ive found if hermie is in the genes this produces more hermies also almost all bagseed is from hermies unless the bag is just riddled with seeds. Most of the time its a single bud in a oz or something that has some beans in it ive found those beans are mostly all fem and when grown out are 100% fine until you have to much difference in night to day temp just my opinion i have no real proof only my experience with it. Ive even cloned them and the mother hermied cuz of the difference in temp but i fixed it and the clones did not hermie. I heard DJ Shorts blueberry is the shiznat ment a grower that had been growing that strain for like 6 years and its his favorite says its the best smoke he has ever grown and all his friends agree might give it ago im a blueberry fan myself i have 4 going 2 drffrent stains of it and some crosses going blueberry crossed with Ice. All from a local grower from his personal gene pool got some blueberry ak47, and blueberry white rhino i just love me some blueberry. Now im just trying to get my hands on his purps taste like fruity pebbels and knocks your socks off i want to cross it with blueberry i think that would be amazing blueberry fruity pebbles hahaha:-) Keep us updated buddy

I have had some sick plants go hermie on me lately... only ha pollinated the lower bud before I catch em... hopefully the crop thats 2 weeks into flowering doesnt get hit too.... that would be a super bullshit deal! They look so healthy, healthiest Ive ever had!

if you grew feminized seeds that could be why. feminized seeds turn hermi real easy. feminized seeds are made from hermi-ing a female.

thank you for posting this strain info, been considering DP blueberry for quite a while
but i see way too much of this hermie issue on this strain, getting convinced it's not coincidence(i.e. grower fault), just plain unstable genetics
yes, the blueberry strain, regardless of breeder, is known to have many many issues that come along with it, and hermie traits are but one.. even dj shorts bb is infamous for hermie issues, as is the real deal sour diesel strain.. sometimes things like that are simply built into the genetics, and even though breeders try to work the trait out, hermie is a strong dominant trait that likes to roar its ugly head as often as possible.. :(
