Noob at Cloning am i doing it right

Looks good but I never give mine direct light. I'll be completely honest, never had luck with rockwool cloning. Built myself a bucket cloner with crap around the garage and have had 100% success since (see picture)

A few tips I do that seem to help:
- Cut at 45 degree
- Lightly scrape the bottom half inch of the stem
- Cut a slit about 1/4 inch from the cut up into the stem
- Dip in rooting gel and wait about 5-10 minutes before turning on sprinkler
- Prune all the tips off the leaves
- Wait 7-10 days for roots to appear

I use a coco/stater blend. Check out my little step by step in my journal. "Shameless plug." But 100% most times. Transplanting today. Nice roots.002.jpg

I find the trick with using rockwool is to let them dry out to about 80 to 90% before they get watered again.
Only mist/spray the dome daily if no condensation is visible...NOT the plants/clones.
Open dome once a day to refresh the air inside.

Kinda.... So yes cut at 45 degrees right below a node then when ready cut off leaf/shoot just proud of stem and dip in rooting gel then into a small rockwool plug or rapid rooter etc.

I never scrape the stems just try to find supple clones that ain't all woody.

The holes look too large around those stems for my personal liking in those large blocks and they are difficult to get water content correct... They will probably still take, let us know?

I prefer to root out fully a plug/rooter until its going mental (10/14 days) then insert into bigger block soaked PH 6 and well drained for about a day (weigh them) with a very small amount of Formulex like 1/4 dose. Not tried your way but for at least 3 years every single clone I've done has taken. Everyone finds a way.

It takes some practice but the clone bottom right will be well ahead of the bottom left.

I can't say for definite either just yet but this run I have used 6 inch Cultiline blocks instead of 4 inch and they actually seem better! Stems way fatter!! Probably more roots in a bigger block before going into the trays but the main reason was because I'm a little heavy handed pulling them around to scrog them and have pulled the 4 inch blocks over a few times and torn the roots (totally my fault).

Also cut some 125x125mm Corex covers or anything to keep the light off the cubes and run a 35mm hole saw up the middle then they don't go green. I try to take clones off the mum just when others are flipped to flower, this gives around 10 weeks to root fully be topped twice and sort of start training under a 125cfl and be around a foot high when they go in the trays. They triple in size in 2 weeks ish. Quite something to watch :D

looks nice, when their cuttings and not rooted they really do like their humidity I like to keep clones around 70-80 rh for the first 2 weeks then I try to harden them a little. haven't used rockwool but seen good results keep it up also michi-can I did that for a while had a very good time with it so love it.

I switched to a tubrokloner or whatever been loving but starting them in soil right off is always near my heart I just like the turbocloner because I can take clones off a regs and not worry about males and wasting soil that could be already being used by mothers. if their not a female or a male that I want they get tossed so its a nice holding bay without having to do anything. really helpful usually not home so I cant care for brand new babies some times. :)

I time my cutting. Only take what is called for. Only cut proven mothers. Am damn lucky at calling seeds. But only a solo cup of dirt to waste.

ive been getting some nice males doe popped 5 beans got 3 males two females I take like 3 cuttings of each to see what ones I like didn't work out so well popped more beans if u look in silkys thread flux training i posted them in their but cutting wise got jack shit rn lol lots of vegging plants
