Noob first time help please =(

Hey guys,

My first time growing anything ever, hopefully I can save the plant but the leaves are turning yellow where the other ones are dark green.

24 hours of light
Two true 85W CFLS paired with two 32w flourscent tubes (All 6500k)
Mist the plant twice a day with super thrive
Only 2 weeks old today, first watering pure water second water with 1/4 strength of MG
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

ya dont use any more nutes for awhile. After I transplanted my plant to its bigger pot I added some blood meal and I was using MG soil and my plant stated to turn yellow but It made it through.

The Scott's Premium Soil is made for repotting and established plants. Scott sells a different blend specifically for seed starting. Personally, I'd transplant it into a better medium. Even a bag of Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Mix for $3 would do. Otherwise your might be constantly fighting nutrient problems.

I would also ditch the super thrive. It's basically B1 vitamins and some other junk, and it is in my humble opinion a perfect example of Snake Oil. I've seen it ruin cuttings and attract ants, but people continue to swear by it.

Here's a link to a 2006 science fair project you mind find interesting:

I thought it was funny how red food coloring and plain water outperformed superthirve.

Wow! Thank you all of the information, ill grab some new medium and lock up the nutes for a lil. When I transplant into the new medium should I use the bigger pot I was orginally transplanting too, once the plant was big enough?

Just like to add that plant is just a seedling.... no need for nutes yet.....also try cutting down on the misting......the plant will feed itself for the first couple of weeks.just give it a little water when it starts to dry out half way...lots of light.....after 3 weeks start introducing low doses of nutes and gradually raise doses.Try to go HID lighting too...makes a big differance.good luck.
