jst starting to research this shit, and ive got a few questions im hoping you all can help me out with...
first, what is the vegetation state, how do i know when it is in that state, how do i no when it is flowering, and approximately how long until it switches to the flowering state? Also what kind of lights are in the blue spectrum and how often should you water your plant?

Welcome to RIU, noob er.. tigersrb!

Vegetation state is from seedling to flower(18/6 hours light/darkness). Flowering is a state with 12 hours of darkness, typically(plays it safe). You can use more than 12 hours of light(increase yields), but no less than 11 hours of darkness(same reason).

Water when dry.

5000k(full spectrum) to 6500k(daylight) are for vegetative

2100k-3000k is warm white(flowering)

Unless you have 5000k bulbs, I'd suggest mixing 6500k and 2700k for flowering. Though the 5000k is the best single bulb.
