PYONGYANG, North Korea – North Korea announced plans Friday to blast a satellite into space on the back of a long-range rocket, a provocative move that could jeopardize a weeks-old agreement with the U.S. exchanging food aid for nuclear concessions. The North agreed to a moratorium on long-range launches as part of the deal with Washington, but it argues that its satellite launches are part of a peaceful space program that is exempt from any international disarmament agreements. The U.S., South Korea and other critics say the rocket technology overlaps with belligerent uses and condemn the satellite program as a disguised way of testing military missiles in defiance of a U.N. ban.

It didnt take long for us to get screwed on the latest NK deal.

They promise actions to us in return for financial incentives and goodies. Then they do whatever the fuck they want to.

This has been going on for decades and we keep acting like complete fools.

And then they launched their rocket with rubber bands. Are you seriously worried about a country whose national treasury has about a buck fifty? A dollar of that is owed to China.

there should be sanctions imposed on them spending any kinda money when they are recieving aid, duh! i mean why wasnt that part of the agreement?

I am seriously worried that we continue to make useless treaties with them.

They just got a deal for 240,000 METRIC TONS of food to stop their missile program.

Would you address the point of the post rather than just popping in with something unrelated?

My point is, they don't have the money for a nuclear missile program. Hell, NK can't even feed its people. Thousands are starving to death every week. They have labor death camps with hundreds of thousands of people working and dying every day. You're worried about a country that is on the verge of collapse. Why? Oh yeah, so it can be O'Bama's fault. LOL

any rocket capable of putting a satellite into space is able to dump a war head on the other side of the world if they so wish. the space race was built on missile stocks

That's the issue. NK claims they have already launched two satellites. The rest of the world knows that there are no NK satellites in orbit. There is evidence that the latest attempt (2009) ended up in the sea of Japan.

As for Iran. That is a powder keg. Israel is going to fuck up and have the entire Muslim world on their asses if they push too hard. Many of these regimes are looking for excuse to draw attention away from their domestic issues such as rioting and killing thousand of their own citizens. Israel would be a handy scapegoat about now.

Yeah, complete fools. The guys in charge only went to Harvard, Yale, et al. Anyone could have seen this coming.

They're not stupid. They are simply helping to arm them, or feed them, or whatever. You can't have a war without enemies.

You are right. NK does not have a private central bank. Other countries that don't have a private central bank or until just recently did not have one are> Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Libya, Sudan, Cuba. See any countries there you have noticed we have been active in?

Ah well let occupied Israel burn,Iran have not been hostile to any nation in its history that hasnt provoked it,it has never invaded or occupied foreign lands, nor told any other nation how to live, zionist isreal is a terror state and refuses to believe Palestine is a real state, seriously palestine is one of the oldest nations left in the world and its not a recognized state as America and israel (literally babys as far as nations go) for no logical reason, other than they don't want it to be so,the west as a whole needs to get out of the middle east before ww3 happens, but hey America(politicans n leaders not people) doesn't care about that it can sell arms to every side, and then go in once every one is done killing each other, to take all the oil, such a cunning plan

I must be missing something here, but when a regime such as Iran says publicly that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth, that in itself is an act of aggression and ultimately and act of war, let alone at least a propaganda stunt that would any western country cringe. I hate war and I loathe aggression, but Israel is in the middle of a hotbed of nutty places filled with even nuttier lunatics. They have every right to pinpoint where the Iranian facilities are and take them out, this in itself is a step toward keeping the peace in the middle east, even if it means having many countries, western ones too, attacking such a move.

North Korea, on the other hand, may be filled with starving communists, but I think if the rice should hit the fan out there then I think big old bad China will step in and take the reigns. Which in itself, is a lot scarier than any "I'm so ronery" North Korean buffoon with a loony hairdo.

So does Iran have the right to attack "secret but not so secret" Israeli facilities? For the sake of peace in the Middle East?

Yup, you're missing a lot. First of Iran did not say that. Explain how words are the same as aggression and war.
