Northen Lights - First Grow - Should I LST them now? Pics inside :D

Hello,
This is my first grow and I choosed NL because most people seems to like it.
Hoewer,my plants are smaller, they have about 1 month and a few days.At that moment,my growbox wasn't finished, and they stayed in my closet with no lights, maybe temp lower then 20c and they grew pretty tall searching for light.
They've been like this for around a week or more
This are my 3 NLs after 7-10 days since they got out soil

For about 7-10 days since they went into the growbox, they've been lighten with 2 x 26w 6500k 1500 lumens cfl.
Then,I installed 2 more and it's been like this since then.
Now,my plants are about 30-35 days since they got out of soil, and they started developing branches like crazy in the upper side.
The reason I'm worried,is because they are pretty small for their age because of the stress most likely, and the branches aren't too wide. From your point of view, should I LST them now,or let them grow 1-2 weeks more?
You will also notice 2 new plants in there, they are the other 2 seeds that came in the package, and they are about 7-10 days old.

Any other advices will be verry appreciated :)

I'm planning to let them all grow for 30-45 days more, and then make them flower by changing to 12/12.At the moment i'm lighting them 24/7.
This are feminized autoflower northen lights, and after I harvest them, they'll help me get rid of my addiction to spice/legal high products :)

[h=1]Should I LST them now? Yes, train em to stay short for more compact buds when you flower them with CFLS.[/h]

Northern lights is a pretty short plant to begin with so lst them now to create a nice wide even canopy.

Ok guys, thank you verry much for your advices.

I just tied them down about 24h ago,and now I took some pictures.
Can you take a look, and see if I done everything right?
Is there anything I should worry about?
I also added some aluminium foil so more light will get reflected.

Any Advices and suggestions are welcome, since this is the first time i'm doing this, and I know there's plenty of space for mistakes.

LST looks OK for now. You should secure the based of the stems to the opposite side of the pot and bend the plant down in the opposite direction for future reference. You do so in order to avoid damaging the roots when you LST.

And as far as the aluminum foil, I've never used it, but everytime I've read about it(none recently) it says that it creates hot spots and sholdn't be used.
You can go with flaat white paint if you can get mylar or space blankets even :peace:

Thanks for comming back!
Damn,I haven't took in consideration the roots damage when I done the LST,but I hope this time I managed to do it without any damages.I guess there's no reason to secure the bottom part of the root now?

I've read about alluminium foil creating hot spots aswell, but It defintely reflects more light then the white paper so as long as there dosen't appear any health problems,I'll continue to leave it as it is.

I haven't mentionated before, but this plants dosen't receive any ventilation beside the 2 holes from grow room.
Why? Because it's making too much noise to be able to use a ventilator and I can't keep a constant temperature in the grow room.
You think this is going to affect me,or I might succeed without ventilation?

Cheers

Hope I'll manage to get them to harvest without it.

Today I noticed that the tops of 2 of my plants leaves started getting really bright, and It dosen't look healthy,so I assumed that I had the lights too close, and I moved them a little further.
It could be because of the lights?

Also,I see some leaves having some unregular waves,is this normal?

I attached some pics, can you guys tell me how are they looking so far?
They also seems to be stretching a little, could they go into flowering?
They've been on 24/7 untill now,and pretty stressed and small to start flowering :(

Don't see anything worrying in your pics bro.
If you're noticing discoloration in the leaves that your cam isn't really showing, maybe it could be hot spots from the foil??
Not sure but just a suggestion. Everything looks good to me tho.

As long as the yellowing doesn't progress from the tip you got nothing to worry about.
Best thing to do at this point is chill and let them dry out a bit between watering and watch them grow lol :joint:

Hello,

Thanks for helping me out!
I usually water them once in 24-48 hours, depending on volume.I try as much as possible to avoid over-watering as I saw around the forum. You think I should water them more often? The temp is around 25 degree's celsius.

Regarding the discoloration, check the top of this little leaves

Edit:
Also,I'm planning to get 5-10 more seeds, since I don't think this little 5 plants will be enough for me for 3 months, untill the new plants harvests.
What kind of results you think i'll get,if I grow them on 12/12 from the begining,as I'll have to flower this already grew ladies, later on,and I have just 1 and small growbox available.

Later Edit: The plant in the white cup, haves mixed soil, top quality one, with regular one as I ran out of it when planting.
I think the results of this are obvious, because the plant is considerably smaller then her sister (the other small plant with a few leaves :D)
What would be the best thing to do?
Maybe, change soil,or feed her with nutrients and other organic stuff, and hope to get her big?

Once ever two days im sure if too often right now. What size pot are you in? The look a little over watered but not too bad.
You shouldn't need to water every other day at this point until the last few weeks unless you growing in like solo cups pretty much.
When you keep the soil wet, the roots don't get a chance to breathe and oxygen is JUST as important as water bro. Gotta let it dry ou just a bit then water it...

I used to think you needed to let it dry out a lot about 7 months ago. Not I think you should let the soil dry enough to look sry and then water it.

Sir420 pretty much hit the nail on the head let that soil dry out for the first 1inch or so down.Once a week should be sufficient IMO!

Other then that your plants look decent as for the one that's shorter then her sister put something like a book or anything to raise to the height of the other ones so it doesn't start to stretch.

Hey guys,I haven't watered them for 2 days now,and I'm planning to do it tomorow.
The problem with whitening leaves seems to be getting worser on 1 plant, check out this pic.Damn, and she's so beautifull :(

http://www.use.com/b6c437a47242980d91ad?p=1#photo=2

I assumed that it might've been because of heat, because when I checked the temp today,it was about 35 Degrees Celsius. The temp varies between 25-35 Maximum i guess, but it could've went higher when I wasn't there. So as a result,I turned the heater with 1 level lower, and I'll wait for the results.
You think that could be the problem?
I also organised them in a new way, moving the older plants further from the heater as you can see in the last 3 pics.

On another note, how are they looking in general, and how much are you suggesting to let them veg, untill I turn them on 12/12

Guys,

Do you think they started flowering? This is my first grow, and I really don't know if that's it or are just small new branches.
Considering they're nl autoflower,if they started flowering now, should i change them to 12/12 or let them on 24/7 ?

Ppl say to keep the light on 18/6 or even 24/7 or 20/4 for autos because the flowering on their own rather than when you flip to 12/12.

I know that auto's seems to flower on themselves, but i saw a lot of people on this forum changing to 12/12 when they wanted to make them flower.

cheers

Autos don't need to have their light schedule changed. Yours seem like they are about to start very soon. 18/6 is fine for autos.
