Northern Light autoflower will be a good starter. Although, I think you'll need more than 105 watts. Check out my grow. The Blue Mystic autoflower, supposed to be exactly like the Northern Light, slightly different. I topped it and did some LST and I'm really happy with it. Keep it on 20/4 til the end. You should see flowers within 3 weeks, mine exactly at 2.

That's not true. There are stories all over threads on RIU about people who haven't gotten autos to flower on a 20/4 cycle. Besides, the 20/4 cycle isn't as good for potency. You are much better off starting with a 12/12 cycle or switching from 20/4 to 12/12 after 3-4 weeks.

I agree with the lighting but not the light cycle. From a lot of reports I've read you were lucky you got your plant to flower on 20/4. Must be good genetics.

Also, what spectrum cfl are you using? You should be using 2700k.

If you want to try a 20/4 light cycle to start be my guest but don't be surprised if you get no or very small flowers as a result.

Did you see my grow at all? I have it pretty much down and both of the auto's that i've grown showed sex at around 2 weeks. But thanks for the tips. Stay on 20/4 and you're set. Especially if Northern Light is like the Blue Mystics I've grown. 24/0 can cause some problems, there is a such thing as too much light.

That's YOUR grow though. You're lucky, especially with the blue mystic genetics. Like I said, there are plenty of other people who are wanting to know why their plant isn't flowering on 20/4 light cycle, so it's up to the grower. I'm glad it worked for you, but it hasn't worked for everyone.

I have had my auto NL set on both 18/6 and 20/4 during their lifetime and still don't have any buds on them. They broke soil June 13th to boot. My tallest is over 40 inches at this point and if she keeps growing I am going to need to chop her down cause I don't have much more room.
