I vegged them for 6-7 weeks. I topped the hell out of them also.(twice) I did not have room in my veg room for the heigth. I usually only veg for 4 weeks. But I had another plant in my flower room.

Northern light is a very good plant for growing in apartments or where ever smell is a concern. They are very potent, but with little smell. My next grow I am going to potencey and STINKY. I am getting an air scrubber.

I figure i should have 4-5 more weeks to go. I hope my White Berry seeds from Dr. Chronic get here soon.

Yes, NL is pretty forgiving. But most all strains can be easily saved when in trouble if it is corrected soon enough.

But yes, these NL's turned around very well. There are a lot of strains out there, that would not have last through what I put them through.

See, I am not like most people out there. I usually do very good my first few times of doing something, then I relax and start cutting corners and changing crap and such things.

I Changed almost everything in my grow, except the flood & Drain System. Strain, All Nuts, did not follow any of my earlier journals, just rammed the PPMs to the little girls. I jumped to 1,200 PPM in my second week of flowering, with the Shitty product named Hombolt county's Bush Master. 1,200 ppm included everything though, but still I jumped it up way to fast with so many new products...:wall:
But I caught it fast, but it still got worse for about the next week, even though I had flushed them and gave them a weak nut soup. And the leafs that were already there, pretty much look the same, little better but not much. It is the new growth that has changed.

All in all, Northern light strain is a very forgiving strain, with very little stink.

My Next grow is White berry from Dr. Chronic. Anyone know much about this strain? For $104.00 USD for 10 fem. seeds, this better be some fucking kick my ass, suck my ---- shit. Or just give me 9/10 female plants of some dank buds. My last batch of seeds were these northern lights from Nirvana. I bought 10 seeds, I germed 8 seeds. Of those 8 seeds, 7 were Male. This female plant was a freak of nature. It grew tall and bushy, out of control tall and bushy, but would not mature fully. when I cut the bitch down it was about 7 feet tall, 3 feet in diameter, thee huge cola stocks!!! But light fluffy HUGE Buds, I am talking some buds as big as my whole arm. When I cured it, and then started manicureing, the huge buds became small cotton ball buds. Luckily, I germed those last two seed, one of them was a female. I put this female in a waterfarm, and took 8 clones from it. 6 of those clones lived to be the 6 NL's in the flood and drain right now. The mother is the tall plant with the nice looking leafs in some of the pictures. Hmmm. I also had my plant of horror in a waterfarm also. And this mother looks very healthy, and she is budding, but not even close to the 6 that are NUKED in the flood and drain.

Ok, I am tired of writeing this book, I am to stoned.......

Later guys.

I read a thread here on rollitup which talked about some of the experiments which showed that about 4-5 hours of UVB light during flowering helps produce Trichomes. Today I bought a 48" Lizard light which produces 8% UVB. I am going to hook it up tonight and see what happens.

This is Tahoes Thread.. There Tahoe goes, costing me more money... lol Sure hope it helps.

Here is the 8% uvb, 30% uva light I bought. Bulb was $38, light fixture was $12. uses only 40 watts, so if it does not help, no big deal. But if it does,, YEE-HAW, every little bit helps.

Plus the light makes a nice rail to hang the heavy buds from.

Ok, I have my UVB light set to go on 1 hour after my 1,000 watt HPS goes on, the the UVB light will be on for 4 hours. I think I will change this time tomorrow, so that the UVB light goes on after the HPS light has been on for 4 hours. So 4 hours no UVB light, 4 hours with it on, then 4 hours with no UVB light. Then no light for 12 hours.

Here is a link to Tahoe's UVB debate thread. https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/36368-trichomes-thc-uvb-light.html

Ok, a few new pictures of buds. Not sure if the UVB light is helping or not. My next grow I will have to figure out how to only light a few plants with the UVB. These photos are at 43 days of flowering, 3 days under the added UVB light.

The trichs are just starting to swell enough to see them with the naked eye. I hope they get busy in the next few days. :?

I wonder if body has done a side by side test of uvb.
It's hard to tell if it has helped you or not cause your buds were already some big ol nasty buds...

I jumped to 1,200 PPM in my second week of flowering, with the Shitty product named Hombolt county's Bush Master.

Hmm..Bush master is supposed to be used two weeks prior to bloom...did you really use two weeks into bloom? I have used this product with perfect results, so, maybe you need to read the directions...
