Not Enough Light...

Does this look like the plant is suffering from not enough light?


If not ..can anyone think of whats happening here. My plants are very healthy so the only thing i changed was light.

The plant was fine until the other day i decided to take my hps and lower it in between the plants. My plants are all in a circle. except one that was outside of the circle due to space issues.

So i left the hps down low for 2 days just to give the lower buds a lil boost of light.

The second day i notice this plant that was outside the circle had started to curl under its self. A few spots are starting to show what looks like heat stress but i know for a fact that the plant wasnt under any heat stress due to its 3 feet from the light source.

any help would be appreciated.

my leaves do that when they grow above the lights. Ill vote low light levels.

strange thing tho...after a couple of days they have now started to dry up and look burnt.

anyone else have any input?

this is happening to my plants too and i must say they are kind of above the lights at this point...and look just like urs...thought it might be nuteburn too

Looks small for a sativa for flowering. Overwatered & maybe too much fert not enough light & not enough time put in.

clearly u didnt read what i wrote.


its not a sativa bro its indica just look sativa cuz the leaves have curled up...


...the plant is not over watered...it doesnt have too much ferts..and what do u mean by not enuff time put in??

your post did not indicate type of plant i read this short post & if that is what you so say is indica it is has issues

ok bud....im here talkin about light...and ur talkin about small buds on a sativa plant thats not even a sativa...thanks for nothing. U say not enuff light why he hell not?? if u read the post ud know why. anyways....

anyone with useful information is appreciated thanks.

I have two plants in veg that are doing that, and i haven't quite figured out why. I'm 90% sure it's from the light being too intense, because it's up around 8,000 lumens near the two tops that are like that. I know it's not heat related, and i know it's not nute related because I never fed them yet, and they've been in FF OF for over a month. I'm still working on it, and I'll let you know when i figure it out for sure. I'm going to try bumpimg up the light and bring down the output to around 5,000 lumens, and see how that works out.

cool..its hard 2 tell cuz i have 1 with heat stress n 1 that got no light n they look the same. let me know what u find...thanks

You said that they were fine until you lowered your lights.Now you're having problems.Do you see a connection here??

I have a couple plants where the leaves are getting too close to the light and are getting sunburn from the intense UV but not from heat. On the same plant the colas have grown up past the top of my hood, so the ones that are no longer directly exposed to the light have really skinny leaves and almost appear to have no sugar on them either(although it just looks that way, if i inspect closer there seems to be the same amount of sugar, just hard to see in low light).

I have a 400w CMH setup with a total vertical growing space of about 24" in a cabinet setup.

well ya ofcourse i see the connection, hence the reason for my post...but i really didnt think that getting low light for a couple days was enuff to almost kill the leaves on a plant. i guess the general consensus is that low light levels for just 48 hours can destroy your leaves so never experiment with that lol. but there is just one thing that doesnt add up. as i said i lowered my bulb down in between my plants so the tops on all the plants would have received just as lil light. How come none of my other plants plants were affected by this?

guess its an anomaly that will never be solved.
