Im working on my first grow and i'm about to start ordering my supplies.
one of the biggest items on my list is SEEDs!
so far i've been looking at:
  • California Dream
  • Northern Lights
  • Ice
  • Blueberry
its going to be a stealth grow so my baby cant stink up the whole house like some strains do.
i read that ice and northern lights are good for a first grow because they can take alot of abuse and dont stink so bad. but i also read that blueberry (or any berry type like purple) is amazing!
i plan on using CFLs and i only have limited space to grow so tell me what you think.

i would avoid the BB for your first grow. get a few under your belt first. NL is your best bet. easy to grow, high yielding classic strain, doesn't stretch out too much for cabinets or closets. its the perfect beginner strain. in my mind it is probably the best bet on your list. another good one is Mazar (skunk/afghan). if you need help searching, Dutch Passion carries both of these strains. Their Northern Lights is labeled as Oasis.

thanks man looks like northern lights it is Rep+ to you. then ice for the bag appeal! but i have a question about pricing and ordering. its just come to my attention that i'm going to spend well over 100 dollars on my set up. :( one major reason is involves ordering... do you really need to buy the shirt for the extra 10 dollars? (better chance of delivery) and do you know what the shelf life of seeds are and what the best deals on seeds are??

Those all sound great, but IMO, my favorite strain that I would recommend would be SLH(Super Lemon Haze) from Greenhouse Seed company.

After that, I would recommend trying Nirvana's feminized 'ice' strain, though this strain requires your attention.. and is very sensitive to nutrients. I've found with this strain, it is best to write down a schedule for when you feed them... and be strict with it.. follow it to a 't'! Also, this strain is very very Sativa. IMO, its got more Sativa in it than Nirvana realizes... it starts out Indica.. but once your throw them into flower, they slowly and gradually start showing their Sativa genetics.. which isn't a bad thing, its just it makes the flowering period a tad bit longer than what Nirvana says.. indoors it generally takes between a good solid #9.5 weeks to #12 weeks before she is ready. The calyxes will start to really swell up at around the end or beginning of week #6. Around the end of week #7 to the end of week #9, this strain will really start focusing its energy on maturing the Trichromes and swelling those up with resin... towards the end of week #9 to the end of week #10 she finishes up.. and sometimes can be ready to harvest around this time.

But again, the second one I had grown from the feminized 5pack, did take a good 11 weeks to finish. I ended up getting right around 2.3 ounces (dried/cured). I didn't write down the wet weight for some reason.. more than likely I was high when I was writing the plants information down. Not the first time I've done that either.. lol.

Anyhow, those are two of my favorites. I have more.. but I don't want to glob up too much space in here. So, I'll leave it with those. ;)
thnks.

peace..

Thanks for all the feed back! it looks like i'm going to look up
  • White shark, Super lemon haze, K2
and i was going wait for my first or second grow to before i grow some Ice. so far Ice has the best bag appeal and is cheep to grow. you guys got to remember i'm on a budget and this is a stealth grow. ill do the best i can, but right now i'm running too many expenses to go with a great strain. so for now i just good one again thanks everybody ill get back to you on my final decision. :weed:

Hey bro for your fist grow I would go with Northern light feminized. This is my first grow that I am currently on.
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/355123-first-grow-first-journal-northern.html
I went though Nirvana for my seeds and I had 12 but gave 6 away and now I have 6 and 5 are females! I was really happy with Nirvana! Also I stressed tem out early with a PH problem so I am lucky that 5 so far are female. I am only a week into flowering so they are showing sex quickly! If you look at NL it is a high bud to leaf ratio and it is also very forgiving for noob mistakes. So that is my best suggestion.

Nirvanas fem northern lights feminized.

Here is my homework, I don't know the genetics of either but You my friend are way off on 120-145 bucks through nirvana. Maybe you were looking at attitude. And Like I have said I have had no issues with nirvana shipping or germination 100% on both. And if you look at my grow they are healthy so far so I will just go with my exp. If you like sannie good for you bro, that doesn't mean all others are shit!

But please from grower to grower try sannies jackberry or chocolate rain. The picks are chocolate rain that have been curing 10-12 days so far.

That looks super dank bro! I am going to branch out into different strains/ seedbanks as soon as a get some grows under my belt. I don't want to jump from strain to strain untill I get a good handle on growing Nirvanas NL. I researched the shit out of "what beginers should start with" for the most part it all pointed back to NL, good yeild and forgiving for beginers mistakes. I have sanni in my favorites! I already had them there and I will be looking into them maybe on my third grow I would say. But I am going to extend my grow room out so I have 12 flowering and 6 veging so I can have a cycle of 6 plants a month to harvest. GL on all grows!
