Nothing left

I say we start a Cup event...
We should make it a privet cup, only people who can take part are hobby / home growers, no outsiders, have to bring something to the table. Get like 100 growers, QP each, that's aprox a gram each. Only entry fee would be your QP, proof that your grew it, and maybe we all chip in 50$ for a venue.

Or we could start with less people, would mean you could enter less, like 50 people, put 2 zips each.

Maybe not private but more like..by invite?...someone has to vote you on the island sorta deal?..lol

For judging I was thinking..every grower is a judge but the grower doesnt judge their own...points system..most points wins.

Sounds cool. I would also say try to limit the categories, like fuck even say fuk them all together and just make it a first , second and third type thing. Maybe limit no more then 2 different strain entries per person.

That would be cool because the winners would be the man, everyone at the event will want a cut from the winners, lol.

Anyone been to a cup? How are they doing it?
For the prairie cup they just had you pick up your judging bag 2 weeks before the event. I think it worked out to like 3 different grams to try a day. No I wasn't a judge but I know someone who was.forget what it cost but it was a few hundred and proof of medical condition iirc. As for category's just have one for bud one for no solvent and one for solvent. Keep all details secrets until the event. Then it's a blind judgement. I think telling judges indica, sativa or hybrid is even to much info.

I just finished doing the Karma Cup here in Toronto. Pick up your judges kit a couple weeks in advance. Everything is anonymous besides indica, sativa or hybrid and same for extracts like solvent or solventless you dont know the strain. I think its over 150 samples this year witch was nice to be apart of.

easiest thing for us to do would be a beer cup grow off...did a few of those a looong while back

Did everything add up weight wise? Were all your samples there? I've heard a few people complaining that their samples came in pretty light, others said they were shorted on some samples

So you do pay to be a judge?

I was missing a few edibles and a few other things I can't recall. As for samples I feel last year was better as for quality and quantity per sample. Overall I believe there was more entries this year. Price was 650ish tax in. It includes samples and sponsors small gifts. If I had to guess I'd say 70+ buds, 40+ extracts, 35+ edibles and about a dozen creams and topicals. The price includes 2 weeks free at Vapour central and planet paradise..not sure exactly. Then there is 4 nights of events with food and special guest speakers from the industry. This year they andtndre going to get everything tested and post it. Winners have been posted, some it majorly disagree with and may have gotten the popular vote. IMO I don't feel a medical cup should bring in 100k-ish on judges passes but the value is defiantly there...thank you if anyone entered!!! I don't go to the events didn't feel too much like a medical environment, I like my peace and quiet in my own home. Il continue to do it, I like to see what local growers and extract techs come out with.
