I use to listen to a ton of online stream in fact for about a good 10 years I was paid while listening...
There were a bunch of Chicago stations I use to listen to (some guys name rowe and gary) ? all the george nory stuff... adam carolla was great too..
NPR was great to fall asleep too.. the monotone voices made me zZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz
i don't listen to npr very much but there was a talk radio station i loved to listen to that showcased every political opinion and was local. on jan. 3rd they changed it into a fucking top 40 station. if there's one thing radio needs more of it's more top 40 stations.
the only pure talk station in the area is on AM and it's total shit. i don't really like to listen to straight newscasts on the radio. i like the chance to participate.
I listen to a public radio station - only radio I listen to, really. They don't carry a lot of NPR stuff anymore. They have NPR news, and some PRI (Public Radio International) stuff like Echoes. The got rid of Bob Edwards on Saturday mornings - probably budge cuts.
totally forgot about this thread....well if you honestly like npr enough they have apps on android i know of and iphone most likely thatll just tune you in i mean you cant call in i think its like a 1 min delay when using online but still when im bored at work i use to listen to it while workin too
