Nute Burn or Deficiency 1 month with FFOF

I started this plant if FFOF which i have learned is a little on the hot side, i did indeed have slight nute burn throughout this grow. Mainly on the tips of new growth. They would yellow and curl downwards quite a bit. The plant is one month old and i cant tell if the yellow tips are still from nute burn or if it has crossed the line into deficiency as the plant has sucked up the nutes in the soil. It seems to be getting worse when it should, as time passes, be getting better. The yellowing is getting worse but the tips dont droop as much. So is she still burning from the FFOF or has she used up all the nutes in the soil and is starting to become deficient?
Thank you for your time, any help is greatly appreciated!1.jpg

Hopefully some one comes in soon. Can't be of any help, going through the same thing looked everywhere I know/trust to look and can't really find anything it's not affecting my new growth and just a few leaves for me. Didn't want to start another thread about the same issue so hopefully a bump will help.

That weird that it’s only affecting your new growth. From my research the plant should get less burnt with age as the nutrients get sucked up. Your seems to be doing the opposite. It’s on every leaf mine has grown.
Have you added nutes?

It looks like mild nut burn. There is no signs of a deficiency so just go light on the feed and those affected leaves won’t go away the damage is done so just pay attention to new growth and if that’s not showing signs of burn then your good. The FFOF is a little hot for starting in so maybe try happy frog for starting or a seed starting mix then transplant into the FFOF. Other than the tiny burn they look fine

I Meant to add I'm not using ffof I'm using a mixed super soil. Messaged a guy his response was probably slight nute burn. His is doing the same thing without feeding, and all I've done is added molasses to my last watering. They'll pull out of it. As Treesomewanted77 said just need to keep an eye on new growth.

My last batch of ocean forest burnt the shit out of my plants from beginning to end. I’ll never use it again and it’s a shame cause I’ve been buying it for many years with good success. I can’t trust it now. I have enough problems in the grow room nowadays as it is. It stated with new growth being light and small..almost resembling iron deficiency. Then the burning started and didn’t stop until harvest. Never fed anything else. What’s really sad is the ocean forest was mixed 50/50 with promix

If all you fed to FFOF was plain water the whole time there's no way it was burning that far into flowering. Sounds like something else. Any pics?

Bro it was burning like a bitch. I’ve used same mix for many years and I know what to expect. After transplant into a 3 gallon of 50/50 promix to ocean forest and use plain water I always start to see deficiencies within 3-4 weeks. It’s just how it happens. This stuff burnt for almost three months. The leaves that didn’t burn up on some plants stayed dark green from top to bottom of plant all the way to harvest. That plant was in need of nothing but was in excess of everything. I’ll look through my pics and find a couple

I’m looking through and it’s looking like I stopped taking pics after the issue started. Not my proudest crop. I’ve never seen any of my plants make it through stretch without getting a deficiency, usually nitrogen when using this mix. The last time I used it it burnt every single strain and none of them had a deficiency the entire 10-11 weeks of flower. Lowest fans that didn’t burn off were very dark green. Sugar leaves all dark and shiny green . It all adds up. The plant shouldn’t have had anywhere enough nutes in that mix to get it through flower. Lowest leaves clearly still nitrogen loaded at harvest and a bunch of burning leaves . Too much feed

Yeah my local hydro store says they don’t like the FF soils because it’s just humans mixing it so some bags may be real hot and others not so much and there is some YouTube videos stating the same thing so I guess it’s luck of the draw. I had issues with my only soil grow with happy frog all kinds of deficiencies from the flip to harvest. I’m sure not all were soils fault but some was

My plant is in flower and is still burning.. nothing but water has been givin, doesn’t look like it’s going to let up anytime soon either.
How far into flower are you? Not sure if it’s an option but maybe re-pot with some lighter soil mix. If your a ways into flower probably not an option so can just try to run a lot of water through the soil to wash out some of the hot nutrients in it. Maybe someone has some better ideas

yea bro my shit burnt endlessly and was blended with promix so that ocean forest would have straight up killed my plants if used by itself. Never again. Fuck that soil

Read my comment from yesterday. Ocean forest burnt the shit out of my plants and it started by looking like an iron deficiency with small yellow new growth that was tightly spaced. Then the months of burning began. I used nothing but straight water and so has the op. Fuck ocean forest. Not worth getting that bad bag that’ll devastate a crop. I’ve been reading far too much about these incidents. Quality control must be shit
