Nutes late in flowering

Hi all, probably an easy one, but here is my question.

I have some outdoor Big Devils that are now 8 weeks old. They should be okay soon. The problem is, the leaves turn yellow. And i see somehow reduced growth of the buds. I don't give any extras anymore (i gave some molasses mix), but as a newbie i forgot it needs now micro nutes (calcium nitrate etc)?

Would it make sense for me to buy some bloom nutes, even if they only have a few weeks (tops) to go?

Thnx!

If your plants are getting your leaves yellow, that means nitrogen exhaustion which is normal during the flowering phase because flowers switch to needing more potassium (K) from mainly nitrogen - and the nitrogen they miss, they draw from the leaves.

So add a little nitro-potassium fert once in a while and stop two weeks before harvest and you'll be back on the track :)

Thanks for the info Alistar! The molasses mix i have used during the 'veg' contains P2O5 and K2O, so that i will add but in small quantities...

In the end i did not nute anymore. The plants are at 1-2 weeks from chopchop, and increasing yellowing leaves, but i think everything is going ok. I dont see the plant getting worse (on the buds) so i don't mind the leaves anymore. :-)

you're fine. this process in all natural (Yellowing leaves). the don't need to be fert with nitrogen. bloom booster is a plus. i use Molasses & beastie bloomz which is high in p&k and no nitrogen at all. have baseball bat size buds!!!

your soil should have all the micro nutrients that the plants need. its normal for leaves to turn yellow towards the end. i would say its safe to add any nutes but when you down to about 2 weeks before harvest, stop all nutrients. otherwise your buds may have more of a chemical taste. best of luck!
