Nutrient Burn or Deficiency?

Actually mixing in my well water in todays watering. One, because I think I need some ca/mg and two, its conditioned but I ran a bunch of water today pressure washing things that I am pretty sure the salt is pretty flushed out. I too am in 3 gal. poly bags. I generally water until they start to bleed. I have been watering about every 4 days also...mine have been a little thirstier...generally they will take a gallon before they bleed. I am gone until Friday so that will be their next water. Will be giving another full inspection shortly...I will report anything new...in quick, on my knees, perusal; things continue to not be perfect ...but nothing too alarming. Also halfing my flower nutes just for the heck of it.

I'll tell ya again, go get some MG Cactus nutes, it's 2-7-7....perfect ratio for you, start by mixing 15 drops per gallon of water...get yourself some Epsom Salts, this is the Mag in Cal-Mag add a 1/2 tablespoon to your gallon of nutes, it's all natural stuff :bigjoint: and if you're in a city, use your tap water, just let it set in a milk jug or another open container for at least 6 hours, to evaporate all the chlorine out, your tap water has other chelated minerals too besides calcium, it has iron, copper, magnesium, and some more shit I don't know the names of :hump:
but it's gooooood stuff...check the PH first by itself and then again with your nutes to see the fluctuation and if PH is too high, use all natural apple cider vinegar (the dark stuff) to bring it down...1/2 teaspoon is .5 so adjust accordingly, and if you have any microbes in your soil they will regard it as food and it will be gone quick...I doubt it will be to low, but if it is, you can use the same 1/2 teaspoon of lime juice to raise PH levels .5...peace and good luck
I got some of the cactus 2-7-7 nutes, hopefully it helps my problem.

I don't get any runoff.. not once. How important is getting runoff? Should I start giving them 1 gal of water instead of 1/2 gal so they do?

Someone with more experience will have to chime in. The guy who got me started told me when I water I should water until there was some run-off and then stop....and if whatever did bleed out was not sucked back up by the plant after a couple hours,to dump it and not reuse the water. I watered on Friday...and still have much of the same thing going on. Nothing horrendous, buds seem fine although some of the blemishing of the fan leaves has gotten higher. Short of getting some CaMg I am done with the nutes.

How many weeks do you generally flower your plants? like 9-11 weeks? Also what week would be good to stop nutes?

Ha. This is my first grow...so there is no "generally" except what my mentor has told me which is 60-70 days and he stops the nutes after 5 weeks.

There is no point only giving nutes for 5 weeks lol your plants will be pissed to be forced to go on hunger strike let them eat and be healthy they will let you know when they are finishing then flush for week or 2 or just feed organic and don't worry about flush goodluck ✌

I appreciate the opinion but this is my first grow and there are a number of things that my mentor has told me that goes against the grain of many here but at least in this first grow I am using his cookbook. So far, it seemingly has served me well. Grow 2 will be my own.

Should I just stick with 15 drops per gal? or increase it?

I was thinking about this this morning after reading Vostok's blog after he posted a few old-timer tips. I thinking as part of your next water a good full flushing should be done. RIKNSTEIN? What say you? I get runoff every water although I have never truly flushed myself...I am thinking of doing the same today...albeit I will be adding CaMg+ to the last gallon.

Always start small and increase...after a couple of feedings with 15 drops go 30 drops and after a couple of those go to 40-45 and so on...I had 1 girl that by the end she was taking 40 drops of the African Violet 7-7-7 and 80 drops of the Cactus 2-7-7 but she was a sativa and flowered for 19weeks :eyesmoke:

If you're getting at least 10% run off of what you put in, you're flushing already, in a way, cause when you water and get run off you're pushing out the old salts (chemical nutes) and letting it clean itself before putting new nutrients in...I used to flush when I was a noob because I over fed or I read some damn grow bible (good but way out of date) that said it was good...but now I haven't flushed my last 5 grows (all indoor) and I haven't had any problems

But also keep in mind I hardly do beans, I do clones and they only take me 4 months from cutting to finished flower, so I'm not in the soil long enough to fuck it up that bad

Yeah, but PF has had no run-off whatsoever so in an effort to start afresh with the cactus juice it seems like it would be a good idea...but yeah difficult for noobs like me to filter all the varying opinions around here. Thanks.

I think you got very good advice. I would not flush now if you already have a nice fade going and especially given your watering practice that have already gotten out lots of the salt content.

So thought I'd give an update. Everything ended up balancing out in the end. Giving them plain water for about the last 2 weeks and leaves are still barely losing color. I'm pretty sure there was enough nute build up to feed for a month lol. I cut down the smallest plant at 9 weeks and I'm letting the rest go to week 10. Here are some pics of the first plant!
