Nutrients

I'm not sure if I got suckered or not but I figured the plants were going to be needing juices. I went with the Botanicare line, got the cal-mag, the sweet, the soil bloom pro, and the grow. Around 80$.
After finding about the molasses and water mix, and a couple of other homegrown ideas couldn't I just make my own nutrients?

Anyone doing their own nutrient thing, if so what are you using? Thanks

I wish I had more to contribute but I am new. :)

Welcome to RIU
We all have bought plenty of grow equipment and products we regretted later on

Most lines with additives just left those things out of the primary nutrient so they could sell them ala carte

Search the Jacks 3-2-1 threads for future Nutes
Excellent way to grow tasty herb

Solid and reliable. Plus you don't pay for water.

Why dont you use the MaxiGrow with the MaxiBloom. Their websites says to use both for best results or are you using something different for veg?
Nope.......nothing different for veg.
There is plenty of nitrogen in the Bloom for growing plants........the Grow is not necessary.
It's known as the KISS method.
I've been using just MaxiBloom for many years with great success.

Mr. Foster, I like your approach. Keeping it simple is one of my standards. I really dont believe all the hype, and fancy labels, I just want to find something that works without having to try a bunch of different shit and blow money on it. I need to order something and just trying to decide what to go with. I'm leaning towards your recommendation and maybe adding some molasses water in the last few weeks. :)
I bought some of the Botanicare stuff for the 1sts grow that is starting to wrap up.

Why would you add molasses?

Could be nothing more than a myth but provides sugars and carbs to help boost the buds at the end of the grow. Similar to the Sweet product sold by Botanicare. Lots of info on the web on it.
I am only leaning towards trying the molassas mix due to a buddy with experience suggesting it.
Thoughts?

I've never heard of that, not saying it's not true, but I use molasses in compost tea with ewc and water, aerated. The ewc adds microbial life and the molasses feeds the microbes, and I believe helps multiply them?

Molasses only feeds the microbes if you are using soil.
