Nutrients

Hey guys I've been using green planet nutrients and am constantly getting high EC readings. Have flushed and tried again using less dose of nutes and built up slowly but keep getting high readings again after a week or so... any ideas on how to fix this? Plants seem to be growing fine otherwise only minor yellow tips here and there on some leaves.

Cheers

What sort of grow? Soil/living soil, hydro (flood/drain, DWC, other)?
This further info will help us help you with your high runoff EC.

Some yellow, becoming brown, tips sounds like Nitrogen buildup.

@kip420 , great question and sort of similar to you, I measure my food intake via ppm where as you use ec.

Anyway, I start use the manufacturer's recommendations for as a starting procedure, and measure the ppm's. After a few feedings and measuring the runoff ppm's I can determine if the manufacture's recommendations need to be upped or lowered.

Cheers back to you

Just coco perlite in run to waste feeding every second day. I have stopped using ec pen and just monitored plants they seem fine. We are into flower now. I think I will use ec again when in flush to see if run off ec is lowering before harvest

I would stop the flushing and stress on the plant. Just give it plain water a few days. Then start feeding it less. U gave no info on ppm feeds etc so its hard to help u. Reading runoff can be tricky so I pay it no mind unless there is an issue. Mine is usually in the 3k range cus of my organic soil amendments. I only worry when its lower then 700ppm. If your getting nute burn tips u can feed it less but more often or just less and same feeding schedule. Alot of folks overfeed coco imo. U can give it same as soil feeds. U just divide the weekly amount into daily or multi day portions. In the octopots i only had to feed it once a week when I refilled tank. Kept food in the pot and it ate when it wanted to with no issues. Didn't even need calmag but on a few plants that were basically asking for it.
