obama leagalizing marijuana?

Medical MArijuana is not legalized marijuana. you must have a legit medical reason to get the script, card, license, etc.
If he wanted votes he could say he want to nationally decriminalize it, to reduce the influx of over populated jails, and reduce every day street crime "numbers".

No he won't nor do I hope he does, there's too much trouble in it

I hope he can get the balls to decriminalize it.
 
Well watching that clip. shows that he has no motivation to do any thing about it, unless he some how mixes it in with his glory idea of government ran health care.
His goals are set to high on the war. and that is a feat in its self.
I highly doubt he will find time in his 4 years. If he's granted those 4 years.
 
It is not in his top 100 issues. There is too much $$ in the enforcement of mari laws. He has said in a previous statement that he feels that federal involvement should be reduced. It should be up to the states to decide (really should be at the county level) if medical mari should be available for those in need.

I doubt he will go out and bust people for selling tobacco pipes, though. Operation "Blacklight" was rediculous.
 
Basically agreeing with the Barney Frank proposal that would keep the DEA from raiding medicinal dispensaries.

i think it would lose him more votes than he would gain by several orders of magnitude

jimmy carter was the last president to try and he didn't get very far

Obama promised to stop the feds persecuting MM users in MM states, which is a huge step forward
 
Where in his record do you find anything that he's even pro marijuana?

Every quote I've seen from him regarding medical marijuana just cited that it "was a poor use of resources to go after patients"... nothing else.. promises don't mean shit.

I highly suggest we all become truly informed voters and research voting records and actual actions before believing campaign promises..

Actually if you read through some old pot politics you will find that America always relegalizes cannabis when it has a recession but only until its out of recession or has no more need of it for war purposes.
Having said that i dont think they will ever legalize it for recreational use as they politically rely on alchohol to destroy the minds of the majority:peace:bongsmilie
