Odor Control with no open window

I have a full room dedicated to my grow, but I am leery of leaving the window open. I have the window blackened out, and a lock on the door for the privacy of my room. I'm 3.5 weeks into veg'ing and I'm starting to get that nice aroma off the plants. I have a full box fan, and a small fan right near the plants to try and circulate the air in there. I bought a small Holmes air filter from WalMart but I'm assuming that it is not going to be adequate to control smell.

What is the best option so that I can keep odor to an absolute minimum? I live on the bottom floor of an apartment building, so I think having the window open could potentially be a liability. I have not found a stand-alone carbon scrubber that looks like it could fit for my situation.

Yeah, if you have the window open during flowering, then you'll be able to smell it 1/4 mile away, umm, if you could find a way to vent out the air through a carbon filter, then there would be no smell outside. The room will still reak though.

That is what I was worried about. So carbon filter is what I need to get. I see the carbon filter DIY under the FAQ but there are no pictures so its really hard to get what I need together.

Awesome, I wanted a quick easy fix. So I don't understand what this thing is by the picture. Do I need to buy anything else? Is it just like a standalone fan, just plug it in and it does its thing?

You run it on a timer for like 15 min at a time every few hours and it KILLS all odors. My landlord came by for a once a year inspection and never smelt a thing. It makes the air in the room smell fresh like after it has just rained.

So I do not need to have a window open, or draw fresh air in from the outside? I open the door when I get home to allow some fresh air in there, but I like to keep the door closed during the day when I'm not here for obvious reasons.
