have these ww autos growing in ffof. They’re about 30 days old and I’ve made plenty of rookie mistakes. This looks like a magnesium deficiency to me but… I give ph water and for the last week I’ve added cal-mag to the water. My ph going in today was 6.8 and 5.6 out. The ppm going in was 535 and 2650 out. All 4 plants are showing similar signs. Can anyone help get me back on track? Thanks, pin

I'd give it a balanced fertilizer. FFOF can't feed them alone forever. You could throw more FFOF in that pot too. That pot looks about half full. That does look like Mg deficiency to me.

I’ll top off the pots a bit there about an inch or 2 from the top. I’ve been giving 1 tsp of Cali magic per gallon of ph water. Would you stay the course with that or bump it up a bit?

Comedy of errors... started out under a 150w hps. Then I got a new light and put it on 250w mh. A week later I bumped it up to 400w mh. Revamped the room today and put it at 600w mh. I think the room is finally in decent shape as far as temps light and rh. It was one of those things that started out and grew...no pun intended

were you dimming the 600 bulb ? probably not a good idea with MH as it changes the spectrum, you gotta buy a bulb for each dim setting

So I’m in the process of taking my 2x1000w mh/hps lights out and adding 4x hlg 650r’s and making a
Custom grow space 12x12 with orca wrap. But here’s some plants barely out of my clone room under my 1000w mh by about 6 inches. I’m growing Jupiter OG and they are light hungry so every strain would be different but let this ease your fears of light strength and distance.

I did...I didn’t know any better at the time.i was worried that I was gonna shock the shit outta them with the 150w hps to 600w mh switch so I thought I would ramp it up slowly. I also had the light too high (like 30”) for a good part of that time. The light is now at its full 600w and my newly installed fan is keeping temps at about 75f. I did have heat issues before the fan which also contributed to my dimming the light...
I’m so grateful for any info that you guys are throwing out

That’s pretty similar, interesting... my girls are white widow af from seed king. I don’t understand how a plant under a 1000w mh can be light deficient. I kinda feel like I have crappy genetics but I’m probably just looking for excuses.

You worry to much. Ive sprouted seeds under 1000w HPS. Granted they were 5-6 feet away from the bulb but i did it with no problems. Get a lux meter and learn your bulbs and hot spots. A 150w HPS 6'' away is way more light than a 1000w 5 feet away. Its all about finding that sweet spot.

Oh I’m sure I worry too much. I have the light about 20” now. These girls are for sure underdeveloped for the age (about 30 days) so I’m pouring my heart out to get them what they need.i had better luck when I was a teenager growing under fluorescent.. lol.. now I’m spending the coin to do it right and having issues all down the line.
