Ohio breeding projects (Any can share but Ohio stand up)

Would you rather create a strain or test multiple grower strains and collect info about the cuts?

Apparently from what ive read, Michigan is now home to what was left of the original Deathstar cuts. Ive read past forums of ppl paying 3-5k per cut. It's defiantly around up there. Ive seen it listed on menus but who knows if its the legit ohio cut. Ive got my ohio med card so i might make a trip up there next time i see it pop up on a menue since michigan accepts OH cards.

I tried reaching out to them, i dont know if they still breed or just make glass now. I do see a couple of dispensaries around upper central Michigan have Deathstar pre rolls. Im defiantly planning on making a trip up there once all the craziness with the pandemic slows down. I'll know right away if it's the legit cut. Deathstar is one strain that I could never mistake from another. The looks, smell, and taste are totally unique compared to any other strain. I've watched videos of strain reviews of people reviewing Deathstar and it looks nothing like the shit i used to get here in OH. I'm gonna try and get a good picture of what the stuff I used to get looked like so you guys can compare it with your experiences.

So just for reference, these are 3 separate pictures i found offline. All 3 look identical to the stuff I used to get back in the day. I could always judge deathstar from the hairs. They were always literally brown, no orange at all. The nugs were always big and fat but a bit on the airy side. As far as the smell, there was no denying this strain, The diesel was always super present, but I also always got an earthy/ coffee smell and taste as well. All the reviews ive seen online show small, dense little nugs that are bright green with super orange hairs. I know growing conditions are different for every grower so there might be slight variations, but the stuff i've been seeing online looks nothing like the shit I used to get back in the day. Please let me know if your experiences are the same.

Yes these pictures do resemble what I had seen here in ohio in the early 2k as far as smell idr remember I was still green around that time.

I had found some flower twice up north once in a dispo definitely had to be miss labeled due to it wasmt nothing like what the real death star was it had more of a pine smell and had nothing but orange hairs.. second time from some friends of friends (not dispo) and it also fell short of the legit flower. So since then I have just given up the search for Ohio's strain

Yea, i never got any pine at all, just straight stinky ass diesel/ coffee. didnt matter how many bags it was in, that stuff reeeeeeeeeeked
