ok... so ive done my searching....

Well I took care of the Foil, and my temps dropped back down to to 80f with 2 daylight CFL's... compared to almost 90F while it was still in... its seriously starting grow like crazy though...

in a few days you will top the thing. then you will get 2 more main shoots. how high did you say box is?, you will have to start to think about a bigger room for them.

10 gallon rubbermaid storage tote...

i have a 30 gallon one thats going to be used when they get taller...

I havent used my other CFL's just using the daylight ones... when do i switch???

depends on how big you want it. you dont have that much room so should keep it small, just to learn how to do this. so probably in 10 days or so, 6 or 8 inches?

The thing with aged aquarium water is that the fishes' ammonia (urine, so to speak) has been oxidized via bacterial action (two species) into nitrate, a product readily utilized by many plants. Often that water has a lower pH, which they appreciate as well. Plus, it's highly organic, and it's good to do some water changes on your aquarium (more, depending on your fish load). Sorry if it's been answered, just thought I'd throw out the link and the bit about the fish.

you should also start looking for some nutes that have a high phosphorus and potasium amount and least nitrogen. you will need something for flower time

yeah mine is about this size, but more matured ** more leaves, and starting to sprout more**

nice place, if this place has in stock what they advertise online thats one of the biggest variety i`ve seen. i feel like slapping myself in the head i bought the the liquid karma and pure blend bloom soil and they were 25 buck each. my next investment will be the veg from botanicare also. now i see a 3 item kit there of the same size for 15 bucks, ouch that is the same system i am and was also recomended to by a verry experienced green thumber, and so far i am pleased.

keep in mind most nutes all do the same thing. good plants come from good care and knowing your plant. another good one i have used is fox farm products but i cant realy get it here in bc.

whatever you do dont talk in there about what you are groing, not realy accepted unless you know someone. tell em it`s tomatoes? they need basicaly the same care, nutes

i think I'm gonna hit them up towards the end of the month. ** kinda broke now**

and yeah, I'm like a REALLY concerned parent with her... this is my 1st time, so I wanna do shit right...

When I move everything over to the 30 gallon tank, I planned on using 2 10" box fans ** one pushing, one sucking**
I think that they should be sufficient with the 2 of them going at once... and somewhere around 8 to 10 light socket mounted on the sides ** to make it a bush** with all the red spectrum CFL's ** bigger though for obvious reasons**

I was lookin at 400W HPS bulbs at my local hardware store ** they are only $21** but i started reading more into them and started hearing about ballast's and how much power that they use, I'm not too sure if i wanna draw that kinda attention to myself by sucking up power, and giving the pigs a reason to raise an eyebrow..

You said you know a bit about electricity, could you gimme the "idiots guide" on whats what of the HPS world?

first off with that many light`s in there watch the heat. you can get a smaller hps for what you need, but again heat. here i can get them 50, 60,100,150 and up in hps or metal halide. if you have a closet, or build a box out of that foam insulation board, the pink or blue thin stuff. here that stuff is 10 bucks for a 2 foot x 8 foot size. the 400 watt is way to big for what you need, and mine costs about 20 or 30 bucks a month. i think 4 of the cfl`s would do for ya for now. you should look at a cheepo ph tester. you can get a small bottle of solution add it to water and match the colour change to a chart. not to accurate but that will do for now. mine was 7 bucks. important when using nutes, they cause ph to drop.not good. you need more room for those hps to hot for plastic.

Hey, I found this while looking around today....probably old news, but it seems like a good deal!Hope it helps!High Tech Garden Supply

so i'm looking to spend about 30 on nutes

** i think i'm gonna use pool strips, we have a pool so i'm gonna use those they read PH enough for my needs...**

Again thanks dude, you're kinda "holding my hand" on this grow and its really appreciated..., I need a god damn camera phone or a digital camera... i'm really pissed that mine got stole out of my car last summer

dont mind helping, usualy i get people trying to prove me wrong instead of accepting my help. eveybody has thier wat of doing things this is just a simple easy way.
you can get that botanicare 3 pack of pure blend pro veg and bloom and liquid karma it said for 15 bucks. thats the set up i`m using so it would be easy to help with it.
those ph strips will help. do some reading on ph and ppm/ec
if you keep a simple journal of what weeks your in and any changes in the plant, nut doses. temp humidity on different days, and date everything so you can refer back to it and remember what you did incase theres an issue to solve
as far as a camera how about a simpl web cam they take stills and if you get a used one you can still get software online.see if you have disposable digital cameras there. i bought one for 20 bucks. and you can re-use them after loading into computer.

oh and do you have any kind of filter for the beutifull smell that will be happening during flower?

Actually no, but I'm not really concerned with it, considering that its going to be in the basement of my house.

1 or 2 plants aren't going to smell that much is it???
