How much did that Canadian whiskey run you in Canada?...the color looks good, to much ice for my taste:p

waiting on that freeze smoke report, oh and my buds finally mellowed out....thank God
$63.99, well worth it! Next on my bucket list is; Crown Royal XR La salle.... $189.99 bottle.... looks so good I wanna fuck it! :D I like quite a bit of ice, I let it melt down a bit before drinking it too... I re-use my ice cubes in all my straight whiskey drinks!

I just recently developed into a bit of a booze snob after spending time some time with family friends in San Diego.... drinking Mezcal and premiere Tequilla with the occasional scotch thrown in the mix, got me on the hook!

I was at a birthday party. Dudes dad owns a bunch of high end car dealerships. He gave us $500 a shot whiskey. Shit had some kick. Only time I ever had anything like that. If I drink I get some sailor jerry rum or make ganja vodka with kettle one.

Psu I hope your not drinking that ancient of the gods $4 whiskey. That shit will turn you inside out.

Fuckin alchies, making me sick with all your alchie talk! OK, sorry. I'm just jealous cause it's a war crime to serve me alcohol :(.

So Beef, if I want to try to freezer cure my buds in a non frost-free freezer, I take a closed mason jar of bud, put it in a cardboard box in the freezer. Then take out every 2 to 3 days, open and bring to room temprature. Then refreeze and in 2 weeks I'm done. Correct or am I missing something? Thank you sir and put me down for a Johnny Walker Blue when no one's lookin ;).

I agree with the above that for the price REGULAR jim beam is unbeatable bourbon no doubt

I was drinking Jack Daniels honey shit last night.....terrible(sweet!!!) , made for kids who want to start drinking "whiskey"....my GF or whatever brought it over and we watched Taken 2........which was worse than the drinks.

Single malt scotch : mcallan any year goes down like water, awesome stuff

Blended scotch: famous grouse , cheap and great.....Johnny walker black is still the shit

bourbon : american eagle (10yr) good and cheap....Tried some Angel's envy and that was better than Bookers...very yummy but too much $$$$$

Canadian whiskey: well not to offend my Canadian friends but most are too sweet for me...but I will drink Crown Royal from time to time....

where's the smoke report beef???...........Now I'm thirsty:)

@ Fran ...their is a link couple pages back from the ICMAG thread that explains everything...No you want the container to be breathable so sublimation can occur: cardboard/paper bag I think are best, but not sure cause I just started it....

Well my fave is moonshine honestly but second favorite is yukon jack on the rocks, I never had the opportunity to try anything real expensive but patron and crown royal is hard to beat as far as smoothness is concerned. Jack Daniels just tastes like charcoal to me that shit is terrible. I mixed pink lemonade, v8 fruit juice and ever clear lastnight .damn that was rough waking up this morning

Sublimation is turning a solid into a gas. Basically freeze drying. Which will not happen in a non frost free freezer. I tried leaving the lid off in the box. Buds got wet and had to let them sit out for over a day to dry... Non frost free, Leave the lid on. put jar in freezer for a little prior to putting buds in jar. So jar will already be frozen. Tried with different boxes too. Thin cardboard from freezer foods will not work. The jar just gets wet and doesnt really freeze all that much. Thicker cardbaoard works better. Like moving boxes or shipping boxes. Also leave box partly open so moisture does not get trapped in the box and wet your buds.

Ok, ok! One smoke report with pics coming up! :D

Crown is about the sweetest of the sweet for rye... Alberta Premium is great too, they make a fantastic 18 year....

My favorite 'regular' priced whiskey is Canadian Club 12 year. It's around $30? Very reasonable...

C99 by Female Seeds - Smoke report!

Alrighty, folks it's been a while since I've done a proper smoke report, why not usher them back in with a great strain like C99! This will be as objective report as possible, what's the point of doing a smoke report if you rate everything as a 10? So, for my reports a 10 will be a rare bird indeed, and will be bench marked by the best pot I've ever smoked in whatever category I'm rating.

As per all my previous strain reports, I will be using a standardized format to make things neat and tidy.

RANKINGS

Appearance; 8/10 - Covered in trichs, C99 does well to impress upon first inspection. A sativa dominant strain, the buds are more wispy and exotic looking, lacking the common density of indicas and hybrids that have genetics closer to 50/50. The freezer cured buds have a much greener appearance, and the trichs look slightly more preserved when compared to the air cured jar. Wispy red hairs litter the buds, giving a very pleasant overall appearance.

Smell; 6/10 - The smell is the least appealing part to me. Although it's certainly not a bad smell, it's not very powerful. A very mild, sweet smell that doesn't linger. The freezer cured buds do have a better smell than their air cured brothers. I prefer a but more skunk in the bud, but it's personal preference. I must admit Cindy did smell fantastic while growing, much stronger after I cut her down.

Texture; 7/10 - The buds break up really nicely, not too small, not too big but I do prefer a slightly more 'popcorn-like' texture.. 'Sponge like' would be an adequate term I suppose. Burns excellent in bongs, but would probably be great joint weed too. When you squeeze the buds, they deflate but eventually puff back up almost as big as they were. They're still sticky despite being very well cured, it's a good thing! :D

Flavour; 8.5/10 - Flavour and the Buzz are my favorites, hands down. It tastes like a type of candy, very sweet and mild on the exhale. I predominantly use a bong, as I find I get the best flavours from buds while using glassware. I wish the smell was more indicative of the taste, this really is one of the best tasting buds I've smoked in a while. right up there with the Blueberry I grew last grow.

Smoothness; 7/10 - Nice and smooth. Burns very clean, very white ash, no sparkling either. This all adds up to a smooth puff despite the heavy trichome concentration on the C99. Maybe it's the great flavour that makes it seem even smoother, but this bud gets good marks in the smoothness department.

Buzz; 8.5/10 - Packs a whallop. Very cerebral, but for a sativa if you smoke it for a few hours it will tucker you out. I posted previously it was a good daytime buzz, but I would amend that to say use it sparingly. I enjoy reading and responding to 'heavier' topics on this bud, I can still react remotely succinctly.

Overall; 7.5/10 - An excellent strain, stands out in flavour and buzz; weakest point is definitely smell; I'd say it's slightly above average. All in all, this is a B+ strain in my books. Recommended to those who

Notes; The yield was average on this plant, lots of branching, but smaller buds. Don't let that put you off though, this strain is one of the better sativa's I've ever smoked! I would like to cross this strain with something with more odour, and maybe slightly better yielding. Maybe something like White Widow or a Skunk variety.

With regards to the freezer cure vs Air cure; I do really enjoy the freezer cure! You end up with nicer looking buds, with more colour and more flavour! I do prefer the texture of air cured buds slightly. The maintenance on freezer cured buds is literally zero. Just throw buds in a jar, leave the top off, and take them out in 20 days... that's all I did!
