Hi Guys, & Gals,

Since you all have been so hospitable, here is another what is a good medium mixture for seedlings, & clones? Approx. how long does it take a clone to take root? Also I live way in upstate NY almost to Vermont, can someone give me a brand name of a good fert., oh and where I might find the growing medium & fertilizer. One more quick question where could I find worm casings? Thanks again, bongsmilie

your gonna have to look in your local area. ive found peatmoss+vermiculite small bag mixes at walmart or meijer for seedlings and it works well. slightly based so you can add ferts as u like. 'peters professional', if NOT over used, is good stuff. the veg is 20-20-20 and the bloom is like 10-40-10 or something. it also contains magnesium that pot plants need and not many ferts come with it. its like $3 a box (that lasts forever) at lowes and perhaps walmart/meijer. find a local hydro shop if you want the super balanced crap. there u could find some fox farm soil which ive seen people grow entire plants in and never really feed their plants ever due to the ferts it comes with.. i guess they use ocean floor scrapings plus other stuff.

if your too lazy to read over these forums, which tells u probably everything you need to know, barnes and noble has some good new grow books with pictures and everything. really useful information for like $20

hope that helps, and any endeavor worth risking your freedom over is worth the fukin research, so dont forget--u get out what u put in.

I use beer cups and MG starter soil for my seeds, I leave them in the cups till root bound than transplant and feed. Just water when living in the cups. If you use the translucent ones you can watch the roots grow.

Clones take anywhere from 7 to 15 days to root.

Worm castings, try bait shops ask where they get their worms, organic garden supply, start your own worm farm. This is worth finding it's like gold, must have.

Any big box store has what you need read the label and go with a compost based mix as a first choice.

if you dont need a lot of clones this is the best low stress method out there. And you really dont need much.
