How many plants are ideal for one 1000w light? big bud or lemon skunk in mind!

ive heard anything inside a 4x4 grow area should work perfect for your 1000w bulb

good to know! now im a total noob, so approximately how many plants could fit in such an area! and if i had the room lined with mylar and cfls down low for the lower parts of the plants, would that be over kill?

I have 2 plants in a 4x4x6.5 tent with a 400watt light...check out my grapefruit haze it just took a lil training

they say a 1000w will do up to 6x6, but i like to do about 4'x4', this could be anywhere from one to a hundred plants, depending how big you grow them. Its only overkill if you cant keep it cool.

look into light movers... you can add more space and keep the same amount of light. I have seen them around the forums lately.

That depends on how you grow them. You could grow a SOG or as previously mentioned you could opt for 2 bigger sized plants instead. I prefer growing a smaller number of plants and I focus on growing them big so im not the best person to talk to about growing smaller plants in more numbers but there are many on here that are.

i want full grown plants! big 5-6 foot ones! 10 of em!

Then I think you need more room than a 4x4. Check out the links in my sig and you will see wat im talking about when I say big plants. One 1000w light wont get you plants like those though but I would predict you could get a little over 1 pound with that setup regardless of whether you grow 3 plants or 10.

im not confined to a 4x4 room, somebody else suggested that as a space! lets say i have a whole room with no space restrictions and 8ft ceilings, what would be good for 10 6ft plants!

10 x 600 watt lights would be a good start lol

Thats a little overblown. a 600 per plant will grow you some serious MONSTERS!!! If you want them to be big and thick, while still being easier to maintain, consider mounting a bulb (or 3) vertically.
