I feel for everyone dealing with bud rot, sorry dudes! Nights are dipping into the low 40s here, humidity is still high as piss. Warmer weather coming in the next couple days I put a tarp up to protect the ladies from the rain and dew, hopefully it was worth the effort, I had to bury some of my pots so I could connect the tarp to the fence. What kind of soil mix do you use? Your plants look really good!

The soil is real basic and honestly not that great but that's my fault. Wanted to save some money on soil so I made my own. Got a truck bed full of compost from a local nursery, 5 or so bales of Peat Moss, and around 10 cubic feet of perlite. Then I got out the plastic pool and got to mixing. Maybe 40/35/25 blend . Compost- Peat Moss-Perlite. I think I needed some Dolomite Lime but its doing alright. If any of the pots look like they might have some sand that's just from me digging around trying to bury the pots. My soil here is sandy as hell.

So another day of rain here But only 1-2 inchs thats a shower at this point mine have been under poly with lots of fans since aug 1 no dew no nothing an bud rot is still creeping in. Iam done fighting rot every September no more full season plants for me depo here i come next yr.

Where did you get the clear tarp? Plants look real nice.

Damn, I’m knocking on wood as I type! Oh I only had one plant with pm hopefully I can slow it down at least a month more.

It's the humid air I'm afraid--been putting my fabric pots in the shed at night and during any rain/fog but spots of rotting still showing up.

Lee hit us here with some pretty good gusts but only 1" of rain and my place is well-sheltered to the north so wasn't all that terrible. Plants in the ground that weren't trellised got blown sideways and a couple plants split but I tied them back together and hopefully they'll carry on for the last few weeks.

Pine Tar, Northern Lights, and Gold Warp were in the shed so no issues there--other than the humid air (yesterday was dry, breezy, and sunny but back to drizzle today with another rainstorm due tonight). Hoping for some dry days this week, Northern Lights may be ready to harvest on the weekend and the Gold Warp isn't far behind.

During the height of the storm:

Ones in the shed look pretty happy crazy yr the dew in the morning is nuts with the high RH we are so overdue for a 2-3 month dry patten I lost track around 3 ft of rain a month ago since early june. I got a gal of peroxide an a wheel barrel ready for tomorrow's rot hack i will post some sad pics.

I thought if I chopped the bud rot affected indica plants early I might save the sativa. No such luck. Checked today and it's spreading fast through the Tropicana Cookies. Chopped out a whole section of main colas this afternoon and did some surgery on the lightly affected areas. I probably cut out what would have been 1/4 lbs dried and cured. I have a month to go. I won't make it.

KNow the feeling! Lost every apex cola on my 7 x 6 ft Oilspill plant, to bud worms. Amazing how far down they can drill! Sometimes I think gardening is another form of masochism.

Serious! Hurt me baby!

I had good luck with the tomatoes, eggplant, and pole beans, but these spoiled girls are killing me.

Im here in Cali and started from only seed this year and ended up with two spotted mites! Bud worms have also been very bad this year. I picked up a DynaTrapXL and have been catching a lot of moths in it so far. I did find the source of the spider mites. Damn neighbor has a infested rose bush up against and above my fence.:wall:

Bud rot is a pain in the ass. I had it really bad 2 years ago and it took over like wild fire. A windy day will spread those spores so fast to nearby tops.
