Opinions?

I just removed a heap of effected leaves and jet blasted with water to hopefully remove a heap of mites. I think I will spray with citric acid diluted and see how goes. My guess is if I can limit the amount rather then eliminate completely might be only hope. Fingers crossed I can get a few more weeks in atleast and plant doesn't die!

Don't throw anything out or chop it. Mites aren't that bad. They suck but they're not invincible. Citric acid spray will kill them. It will burn your pistils though. If I was in your position this far along with that bad an infestation I would spray with 1 tsp citric acid per quart of water and do that every few days. I usually use 2 tsp per quart or even 3, but since your flowering like that 1 might still work without as much damage to the pistils.

Burnt pistils is better than no bud, or really immature bud.
How much longer do think the plant needs before ready? Its been 6 weeks in flower outdoors

Probably another month at least. I couldn't really tell in the pic though. And when you mix the citric acid, add the citric to a little hot water to dissolve it, and then add cold or whatever to get the temp reasonable. And you can always chop a bud or small branch and dry it out now if you're that desperate. Don't mess with the top though. And don't dry it in a microwave, lol. I'm saying a tiny little branch or bud at the bottom. I wouldn't stress too much, especially since it's outside.

What strain is it and by what breeder. I've had good results using the citric acid spray before. Just be sure to really get the undersides of leaves as most will be found there. The nice thing about citric acid is it's very quick acting. The day after spraying you should see the mites and eggs all dried up. Several repeat sprays might be necessary as it looks like they've been around for awhile. Like someone else mentioned it's better to burn a few pistils but still be able to finish the flower cycle.

I'd say it's at least a 9 week strain. I looked at the seed banks description and they don't list anything about which version of Northern Lights it is which is not a good sign. There was NL#s 1-11 with the lower numbers being more indica and the higher ones leaning more sativa. I'm growing Northern Lights#2 right now from Authentic Genetics and have the Northern Lights#5 seeds I plan on running soon. I'd let yours go until they're ready which will be a few weeks at least. I'm hesitant to recommend dosing on the Citric acid as I only know what worked for me, I'm far from an expert on the mix ratio. I'd start at what Padawan suggested and increase slowly if you still have mites moving around after a couple sprays. Pistils getting brown looks bad but it didn't affect my plants outside when I used it.

I v managed to kind of get the mites under control. Rarely finding any. Cut a heap of foliage, citric acid 3 days and also water blasted two occasions plus vacuum and kept a fan blowing on. Question now is how much longer approx
till finish? Its just finished 7 weeks. My guess was another 2-3.

At least 3 weeks, probably longer, they're still putting out lots of white pistils, and the buds don't look like they've begun to swell yet. Patience grasshopper (the waiting is the hardest part)!

The buds will get bigger ? Ha they are already a nice looking size. . I can wait. I've not had a smoke in over 6mths. And few more isn't a big deal. I am growing it more for fun.
