I wanted to know do i NEED to add nutes to my plant instead of just letting them grow naturally with a 400 hps? and if so i dont want to chemically feed it so next is organic. Heres a site, i need to know which organic nutes are the best to use for my plant(soil). and when do i use them?

http://www.htgsupply.com/nutrientsubcategories.asp?categoryID=2
(scroll down the page, heres a bunch of brands.)
Do i use them right away from seedling? wait till a certin point of veg? wait till i start 12/12 flowering?

and how do i use the organic nutes? put them in the feeding water? add them to the soil? and how often? every time i water? once a month?

plz help.. im trying to get max yeild from my mango ladies. all i really need to know now is about feeding.

And if any you experts happen to know about this too? (from a unanswered post) **Some people during harvesting either use 24 hours light to give their buds the final boost or 24 hours dark. Which is good? or do you just leave it at 12/12 all the way threw flowering until harvest.

im going to tell you to research your products to fit your grow. You have to decide how you want to ... organic or not ? Organics are supposed to produce sweeter, tastier buds with less "flushing". I personally use Earth Juice, it is organic. And am having good success. im on my 3rd grow now with nice results from the first 2. There are several videos on you-tube about growing marijuana- just type "growing marijuana" into search bar. Look for a blonde. curly haired guy using HESI products, he will take you through a complete build to harvest. I took alot from this vid. Use the FAQ section of this forum to look for your answers to questions BEFORE you post threads, it will save you alot of time waiting for responses. I veg my plants till they are 3' for about 7 weeks at 18/6 then directly to 12/12. I have a couple strains so flowering times for me vary. 7-10 weeks. At the end i go 48 hours of complete darkness before cutting. this is supposed to boost resin production and seems to work well. I flush for 12 days prior to darkness. With the last flush being done just prior to the light coming back on in the morning. It seems good to do this because most of the carbs and sugars are in the roots and will be drawn back up into the plant once the light comes on, so i flush the last night in the dark. Hope this helps. READ, READ, READ. RESEARCH! oH , Theres a good recipe for EarthJuice at 3lbs.com, another forum site. I "brew" my feed. thats using an air pump for a fish tank & an airstone to aireate the water and feed for at least 24 hours. A must with EJ.

good info but ya lost me at the end, brew your feed? if theres a confuseing step to be taken before useing earth juice, then maybe a different fertilizer is easyer? im just looking for something easy to use. either put in feeding water or put in soil, and i need to know how often to use the fertilizer...Oh and do i use it right from seedling, during veg or during flower? im not really worried about the taste or anything.. im picking organic because its better for the plant being natural... but a good taste is nice.. im more looking for weighty buds. nice and big.. if anything ill hope to help the taste by curing

You need to find an organic soil mix for indoors.

They use amendments like Alfalfa meal(n), rock phosphate(p) and Kelp meal (k). Maybe some greensand for Micro Nutes.

Iam an outdoor organic guy who uses stuff like Blood meal, Bonemeal and Guano. That stuff might stink up your indoor grow haha :o Batshit is killer stuff tho, mary loves it :weed:

But with an organic mix like that all you will need to do is water them. And if you see a deficiency you can adjust with a Tea or one of those fancy liquid supplements from the hydro store.

Well the organic mixes that are premade dont say what the ingredients and ratio's are.

Obviously you need something that is balanced or formulated for maryjane.

Or you can buy the individual components and mix it yourself, that what I do.

And indoor organic grower may come along and tell you what premade mixes work.

You use the amendments to mix right into your potting soil from the very start. Not put the stuff on top and water. That is called Top Dressing and you only do that if you need to adjust the feeding schedule of a plant.

You dont wanna try and run an entire grow with just top dressing. That would not be very efficient.

Ok well thanks , well any Indoor expert know of a perfect organic soil mix for maryjane or dose anyone know the things i will need to buy to make my own mix, how much would i put in each container (meaning each of each nute per plant)

For most amendments its 1 or 2 tablespoons per cubic foot of soil.

The bags will say on it what the correct dosage is.

Then you just make a balanced mix by using a 1:1:1 Ratio.

Like one part Alfalfa for N

one part, rock phosphate for P

one part, Kelp meal for K

Then some greensand for Micronutes. Dolomite lime for PH buffer, Epsom salts for CAL and MAG

That works out to about 1-2 cups per 5 gallons of soil. It depends on how hot you want the mix to be also.

You can shoot for lower the first time, and keep some Guano on hand so you can adjust as needed with a Tea. Or if you want use the liquid extracts mixed in with your water.

is simply putting an airstone into you water and fertilizer mix to aireate( bubble) it. you do this to EJ to stablize the "PH" and add oxygen to the feed. DO your homework first. I cant stress that enough. Have you built your room ? light leaks ? Do you have a budget in mind ? i started with 1500 which went to 2600 and is now up to 4000 with a second thousand watter in my flower room and ventalation upgrades. All depends on how serious you are about your weed. Keep in mind my flower room is 6' X 8', with a 5'X5" veg room, 3 x T-5's for seedlings in the closet with about 1000CFM of ventalation to exhaust and cool the hoods/rooms, in a converted bedroom.
If I lost you with Brewing, You need to start doing your homework. You will not believe how much WORK this is. If your not passionate about it, keep it real small so you dont invest too much.

ok sounds good... only thing is im alittle confused cuz idt i know how to measure the cubic feet... im basicly doing 8-10 ladies... so say Per container might be easyer for me to understand... 1-2 cups per 5 gal thats helpful for when the plant is big... ( basicly about 1.5 cups per plant in the end right?) thanks for your answers =D

ok well some details are 400w 4x4 space bout 8-10 ladies...no light leaks.(tent) and im serious bout makeing these best yeild as possible.. but not really wanting to add chems... an easy organic mix that i can simply just water sounds good.

Or maybe a nute that dosnt need to be "brewed"? i dont have anymore money to buy a pump and everything.

yeah im new everything. i studyed alot, only thing i didnt study is adding nutes... so im doing that now. before i start.

Too afraid of federals to post to meny pics and stuff but threw yalls help at, and right before harvest ill show all what yall helped create. thanks again

Shoot for 1 tablespoon per amendment per gallon of soil.

So if you have say 2 gallon pots then use:

2 tbs Kelpmeal
2 tbs alfalfa
2 tbs rock phospate
2 tbs greensand

that works out to 1/2 cup per 2 gallon pot.

Might wanna add 2 tbs of dolomite and 1 of Epsom salt per mix

That should keep you balanced and within safe levels for your first organic grow.

This soil mix will need more P at flowering time. Via a Tea or Extract.

with most organics you will want to "Brew". All you do is mix your feed a day ahead and let it brew. It really is beneficial. adding oxygen to the feed making it readily available to the roots when you feed or water.
When someone say "make a tea", your aireating your feed too unless your hand stirring every hour or so.

I use tap water, but I added 2 ten inch airstones with a dual outlet air pump to aireate it in a 30 gallon rubbermaid trash can. In doing so, im removing chlorine, flouride, arsenic, lead, all the bad things not good for plants that are in the water. This is a Good idea unless you are planing on bottled water or an expensive water purification system. Wallmart has dual outlet airpumps for fishtanks for about 27 bucks and stones are 2 bucks. Get a dual outlet pump, that way you can have 1 stone preping water and the other brewing feed.

ok thanks both of you i understand alittle better now.. i was thinking should i just buy some stuff from http://www.4hydroponics.com/nutrients/pureblendpro.asp , http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/fox-farm-big-bloom-0137-organic-nutrient-quart-p-388.html

now... i can do either, make a soil mix or get nutes... but say i consider getting nutes? do i put them in as a seedling? do i add them in veg? or one of them is for seedling/veg one is for flowering? and if so, how often do i add nutes to my water? im sure every time would make too much acid... so.. what? every other feed? every month?

If makeing a soil mix is just best since its first time and all i could just do that too..

Nice idea, pretty much what i was lookin for, if i knew how to give form points or "+ rep" i would.... so with this pure blend stuff... how much of it per container vs soil. and during flowering, how often water with the foxfarm big bloom?

edit. figured out how to give rep, you both got some.

so with this pure blend stuff...
.
IloveGanjaherbmaryjane420..... The Bontanicare Pure Blend Pro series for soil is some excellent stuff. Here is a feeding schedule for your plants. Give each plant one quart of mixed up fertilizer solution each week, or two quarts if you feed every other week. Here is a link with the mixing strengths -
.

Hope this helps....
